I researched about 15 hair transplant doctors before talking to Dr Danio. It was immediately clear that he was extremely passionate and inventive about his work. Having had the procedure now, I would recommend him to anyone considering this. My result has been beyond expectation, and exactly what I wanted to get. He took the time to understand exactly what I needed, and did the procedure with painstaking care and accuracy. He's improved the procedure in ways very few other providers do. Absolute master of his work, worth every dollar spent.
He’s the one ! Great experience all around. I researched for a while like many. He’s got an intimate office and an amazing approach and calmness for anyone considering hair restoration. He’s realistic as well. There’s no over selling. Just real medical work and cutting edge performance. Will try to post before and afters but I’m 1 month out now and doing great. He did not overharvest and my hair looks great at a 1/2 guard clippers even now. The Density he’s able to provide using the pin-implanter insertion method - very few docs do this method. Trust him and trust me!
My experience with the doctor was excellent. Him and his staff are top notch, very personable and professional. I had two sessions with him and got the same treatment each time. Being African American i wasn’t sure how the procedure would work out for me but the hair filled in just as he advised it would and I am extremely happy with the results. Updated on 5 Jun 2019: The shaveless FUE procedure from start to finish was excellent. Dr. Danyo was hands on throughout the procedure. The downtime was one day and there was no pain or swelling. I was able to go back to work and even go out with friends the next day and no one was able to tell I had anything done! If you are thinking about having a FUE done why no make it shaveless and get it done by the best. Thanks Dr. Danyo and staff for a great experience!
I came to Dr. Danyo's office with feelings of anxiety and depression from diagnoses of CCCA and traction Alopecia which led me to permanent hair loss. I had dispersed hair loss that left patches on my head and severely impacted my mental health. I was not in the best place and Dr. Danyo was very understanding and knew without question that I was desperate for help. What I respect about him most was that he did not take advantage of my vulnerability, did not ignore me, worked with me as best he could, and took ownership of his mistakes. He honestly changed my life and I am very grateful that I chose Dr. Danyo and his loving team to help me through my journey. I am an African American 25 year old woman who received Scalp Micro Pigmentation throughout my whole head and couldn't be more satisfied! Thanks Again :) So let's start off on the first day. I received a consultation with Dr. Danyo and we both agreed on PRP and SMP procedures. On my 2nd appt. I received PRP in my middle head to help reduce the inflammation of CCCA but not necessarily to increase hair growth because the my condition results to permanent hair loss so I was very aware of that. Next, I had my SMP treatment. I did partial of my head because it was very tedious and long so I was to come back and finish the rest. On my 3rd appointment, we were finishing the rest but had to go over some others and realized that I would have to return to complete my whole head. I understood this because the process is very tedious and I was getting this procedure done on my entire head. After a few weeks, I noticed my ink fading a bit on my head. I contacted Dr. Danyo, and he understood and helped me to get an ink that my skin would take. On my 3rd visit, Dr. Danyo had SMP Specialist with a different ink that my skin would take well perform my SMP procedure. It was a great experience, as all of my appointments have been. The specialist did half my head and I decided to just shave my whole hair off in that way everything can look even. On my last appt, the specialist completed the rest. I was very satisfied with my results and came back a month later for my follow up. Everything looked great and I had zero concerns. Healing time was quick, about 3 days for pain relief, and 2 weeks to allow the ink to settle in. During all my appointments Dr. Danyo and his staff provided snacks, drinks, movies, and music. Oh and a blanket, I was indeed verrryyy comfortable! Scheduling for appointments was good because they try to work with your schedule and don't just leave you astray. Overall, very satisfied with my results and their services. Would definitely recommend North Atlanta Hair Restoration with Dr. Danyo and his staff. I hope this helps all those like me who are suffering from permanent hair loss, there is hope:)
I have been researching hair transplants for several years. I found most offices were more concerned with sales than focusing on me as a patient and answering questions. I selected Dr. Danyo for 3 main reasons... (1) Dr. Danyo took the time to explain the transplant and his techniques to ensure a speedy recovery and great result. He was very open and willing to explain the procedure, review photos, pros/cons, etc. (2) Dr. Danyo explained that he only did one patient per day and personally did most of the work, with one or two assistants. Most Doctors will do 2 cases per day and use contract technicians to do a lot of the work. (3) He was is one of the few doctors that was certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. The procedure went great and the recovery was very easy. The office followed up with me before the procedure to make sure I was following the pre-op procedures and after the procedure. I felt the office was very genuine with their concern for me as a patient. I am very happy with my experience with Dr. Danyo and the results. I wish I had found him sooner!!
I am a 44 year old Africian American female who was diagnosed 2 years ago with Traction Alopecia and permanent scarring from years of wearing braids and glue from hair weaves. My dermatologist at the time said my only options were to get a hair transplant along with taking rogaine for the rest of my life. This meant I wouldn't be able to have any kids while taking this product and if I were to ever stop taking the rogaine the newly transplanted hair would fall out. She also said, "look on the bright side there are so many options out there today that weren't available before like lace front wigs, weaves, and extensions these would give you many ways to conseal. My reaction was like, "Are you serious, I'm still young with a full head of hair, why would I want to spend the rest of my life covering it up because of some hair loss around my edges. So that started me on the journey to find other solutions. It was about 2 to 3 years later, but my prayers were answered when I found Dr. Danyo and his Shaveless fue Hair Transplant and PRP treatment. No rogaine to take, minimal down time, and no one would ever know you got the procedure done. You could get the procedure done on a Friday and return back to work Monday. This turn out to be the best decision that I've ever made. Dr. Danyo and the staff at North Atlanta Hair Restoration were the bomb!! He's one of the only doctors that I know that does a Shaveless Fue Hair Transplant. He was very informative and any questions that I had he was simply a phone call or text away. The procedure took half a day but I didn't realize it because the staff made you feel right at home, they talked me through each step and the pain medication kept me awake, alert, and relaxed (like I was on a beach in Jamica, lol) the whole time. I got the procedure done on yesterday and so far so good. Looking forward to the final results. Updated on 12 Mar 2018: 750 grafts twice, 3 prp treatments, 1 super prp treatment
I'm a 46 year old male and have thought about getting a hair transplant for several years but never trusted a doctor enough to gamble my future on it. I work in the medical device field and several of the people that work for me introduced me to Dr. Danyo. They had such a high level of confidence in his skill and integrity that I decided to trust him to do a 2000 follicle shave-less fue. It was a comfortable procedure and Dr. Danyo and staff were awesome. Flew out the next day for work but didn't overdue it and was fine. Took Advil for about a week for the irritating feeling but not pain. Within a few days you can feel the hairs coming in with your fingers. So exciting. I can't wait for it to completely grow in (I'm only 2 weeks out). I would recommend doing it on a Thurs to give you to the following Monday to feel pretty normal again at work. Would highly recommend the procedure with Danyo and staff. As for results, will still need to see how it looks when it grows in but looking good so far. Excellent doctor and staff who truly does care about his patients.
If your considering a hair transplant as a option to combat hereditary baldness or other hair loss I'd highly recommend allowing Dr.Danyo and his staff the opportunity to accommodate your needs. From the initial consultation to the actual procedure the customer service was amazing. The facility was right in line with the level of service I received. This was my 2nd procedure with one being completed in NC. At North Atlanta Hair Restoration I was given the opportunity to be active participant in the process telling Dr. Danyo the look I was trying to achieve and he followed my request given the amount a grafts needed. The best part of the procedure to me was the fact that Dr. Danyo personally transplanted all donor grafts to the recipient areas which he does with all his patients. My recovery was pretty quick only with those knowing I had a transplant knowing it had been done. Overall with hair loss taking a great toll on ones confidence I personally feel the entire staff did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable in myself and moving forward with the procedure. As mentioned earlier please do yourself justice and request the consultation and I feel confident you'll know your in the right place.
55-year-old female, with hair thinning on the crown of the head. It was recommended I could do a high dose treatment 1 time. I was advised that it looked as if I would be a good candidate. Dr. Danyo was a very nice doctor. He spent time explaining my hair thinning but felt the plasma PRP shots could help. In actuality, they seem to have stopped all growth in the hair area. I was sprouting hairs before I had the shots in my head. I went to another hair restoration for consultation before Dr. Danyo and I am disappointed that I did not go with their program where I could have gotten 3 shots and hair light treatment for the price I paid for this doctor. As you can see from the pictures, I got no additional coverage of my top head thinning. I was hoping the surface hairs that had been growing would have gotten thicker or stronger but instead, they disappeared altogether by the 6 months. Updated on 31 Mar 2020: My PRP hair loss injection was a true rip off. This office charged me for one injection which most office charge for 4. I had absolutely no change or improvement. The shots actually stopped the little hairs I came into the office with that were starting to grow. I believe the photos were fake of PRP recipients or they chose to rip me off by not doing more than one shot in a 6 month period. After the procedure these people left me in the room..and never came back to clean me up or check on me. I ignored because I had put my faith that the doctor's work would be good and show some results. However, it turned out to be a complete WASTE of money. I did not realize I was only getting one shot.. when most offices give you at least 3 to 6 treatments of PrP. I was steered away from getting the A-cell but have a friend who had great results with that..so maybe this is what was needed. Overall very disappointed in office but gave two stars because the doctor was a nice man and most of his staff. The person who never came in office to clean up blood from shots I give a O. I had to get up and walk out to find someone to help me.
Beard extraction for placement in to the head is becoming more common, especially for those with high graft count demands. The total number of grafts that can be safely extracted prior to over harvesting the beard depends on the natural density and size of the beard. I feel that at any one time, about 1000 to a maximum of 1500 can be safely extracted in those with higher beard densities. Lower density beards may be in the 500 to 1000 range. The maximal amount over multiple procedures may exceed 3000 prior to the appearance of depletion for dense beards. I have completed over 3000 beard extractions on single patients without signifiant appearance of depletion. To do it safely, several procedures separated by at least 6 months were required.
I would give the results from the second procedure some more time. I am hopeful over the next couple of months that the density will improve. It may be worth doing some PRP to move things along. I would follow up with your surgeon so that proper follow up and interventions such as PRP can be discussed and possibly completed.
You definitely have significant hair loss at 24 years of age with combined miniaturization of the remaining hair. Without medical management such as with Finasteride you will likely progress to at least a Norwood 6/7, especially if you have a strong family history. Without having a crystal ball, I cannot provide specifics on a timeline for completion of the hair loss process, but it may occur by age 30. I feel that there is no need to wait for the final progression. Successful hair transplant can completed on younger patients with advanced hair loss if a conservative approach is used - The surgeon must focus on the frontal hairline and middle scalp, conservative height of the hairline and minimal focus on the crown.
Typically the frontal hairline with back -filling into the existing hair of the temporal and middle forelock areas requires 2000 grafts. In addition, the side temporal regions appear to have some recession towards the ear and this may require 500 more grafts to blend the side framing into the hairline. It is important for you to consider medical management including PRP, Finasteride, Minoxidil and laser light therapy to maintain your current hair and prevent further hair loss. This is important when reconstructing the frontal hairline.
I have completed multiple successful FUE procedures placing mainly FUE grafts from the beard into strip scars. Depending on the length and width of the scar(s), this can be complete in one session. The graft take is usually good. With thicker scars, I often will use a small FUE punch to punch out the FUT scar and then place grafts into those punched out areas. Body hair such as from the arm or chest is also an acceptable area to get donor hair from. Also consider Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) in addition to the placement of grafts into the scar(s) to get optimal results.
