I feel my chin is quite small in both my side and front profile Do I need fillers or a chin implant or a jaw surgery? Also, I'm not sure if my chin is recessed or normal

Your photos are not enough for an evaluation since I need to see the whole contour of your face which is visible in the first photo only. Nevertheless, you seem to be a suitable candidate for chin implant surgery, but considering your concerns and desires, a comprehensive evaluation is required. I prefer to start with a physical examination to determine the appropriate implant sizes and surgical approach, keeping in mind that male and female chin shapes and sizes are different. Various treatment options are available to enhance chin projection and improve facial symmetry, so consulting with a plastic surgeon is important to determine the best option for you. In addition to surgical solutions like chin implants, hyaluronic acid fillers can also be used to add volume and projection to the chin area. The amount of filler needed varies depending on individual anatomy and desired results, typically ranging from 1 to 4 cc for chin augmentation. During the examination, I will assess your chin and recommend the best treatment plan tailored to your needs and aesthetic goals. In some cases, a combination of treatments may be recommended to achieve the desired outcome.

Hello, hope all is well. Thank you for submitting your photos and questions! You appear to have a mildly recessed chin. In my opinion, the best option is to place a chin implant. The advantage over filler is that the size and shape is very consistent, and the results are permanent. The advantage over sliding genioplasty (jaw surgery) is that an implant can be placed in the office under local anesthesia, and the downtime/recovery is less intense. I usually perform chin implants through a small incision inside the mouth so that there is no visible scar. Hope this helps!

You are a good candidate for a genioplasty. This procedure would move your chin forward and down, creating a batter balanced profile. We almost always recommend a genioplasty over an implant for many reasons. Implants can be unreliable and move around. They can also start to degrade after many years. Implants are limited in their movements and tend to make the chin bulkier. A genioplasty allows for the chin segment to be moved into essentially any position, which makes this ideal for everyone because it can be customized to fit your face. A genioplasty has the added benefit of elongating your jawline/creating more jawline definition. The entire procedure is done through the mouth, which means no external incisions. Thank you for your query. You do have a recessed chin, based on your pictures. Both a chin implant and fillers can  help you with achieving a more proportionate chin. My usual practice is to recommend a chin implant when one is sure  and wants a long term solution and fillers when one is in doubt. The best way to determine what would be useful for you is to have 3- D pictures , with exact calculations and morphing.
