So my surgeon that did my tt only does anchor breast lifts. I really love him and would like him to do my lift but I'm really not wanting the large scars from an anchor lift. Is there a huge difference in the two besides the scar line? Do I need a full anchor lift? I have included a few pictures of my breasts for reference. My pre op appointment is May 9th and surgery scheduled for May 22nd. I didn't think to ask him about the difference in the two when I had my consult but should have.

Answer: The Bellesoma Method Thank you for your question and photos, The Bellesoma Method is a current technique to lift breasts without using implants or the ugly vertical scars. The incisions are hidden around the areola and in the inframammary crease. The vertical incision has been completely eliminated. The areola incision heals almost invisibly due to the fact that there is hardly any tension on the closure. With this particular technique, ducts are preserved along with nerve supply maintaining nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed. Because the breast is reshaped internally and is secured to your chest muscles, upper pole fullness is possible without an implant. Attached is a patient who underwent The Bellesoma Method. Please note that her tissue was used to create upper pole fullness and cleavage without any foreign materials (mesh, implants, etc). I recommend you have a lollipop lift in combination with a breast augmentation to avoid the horizontal scar underneath the breast. The lollipop scar is more aesthetically pleasing, and when combined with implants the projection of the breast will appear more youthful and full.

Depending on what size implant you want, and how much tissue needs to be removed, will decide which scar pattern. Make sure your surgeon is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery and is experienced in this procedure.
