I've had a chin implant for 7 months now, and I've been having discomfort ever since. Could erosion have occurred already? How can I tell if it is? On certain days, my gums feel sore and my front teeth feel sensitive.

It will take up to six months for the soft tissues of the chin to shrink and maximally adapt back down to the bone. They may or may not ever completely regain the original chin appearance in all aspects.

Hi. Most chin implant patients report to me that it was easier than expected. They may use their pain pills for 2-3 days. There is some mild swelling of the area, usually no significant bruising.All the best,
