Fraxel or Co2 are best for resurfacing. I always combine lasers with microneedling/prp, Sculptra, peels and rf treatments for more robust outcomes for facial rejuvenation. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
It comes down to the operator. Fraxel can be used in many ways, as can HALO. Settings and mixture of laser wavelengths of FRAXEL can be equal to HALO, the bottom line is the doctor behind the device and your aims and expectations. All the best, Dr Isobel Walker. Brisbane. Australia.
Both of these lasers are excellent, an analogy is that lasers are like a pair of Japanese steel high quality pair of scissors for cutting hair. The instrument is excellent, however what makes the BIGGEST difference is the operator. Give a pair of scissors to a director hair stylist and you will get a very different result compared to someone who is learning to cut hair. Same goes for lasers. These companies have default (learning modes), however Specialists can over ride these standardised modes to safely and effectively address your concerns. I have used both lasers to treat similar conditions, Fraxel combined with CO2 (namely 1927 with CO2) gives better outcomes with one treatment than 3 standard HALO treatments. The flip side is that HALO can give a very quick recovery time. The decision is then up to you- downtime vs results vs number of sessions. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
