How good is Fraxel laser resurfacing for smoothing laugh lines? I have a lot of crow’s feet for my age (photo)

Hi DA.  Although tempting to believe, the dynamic (seen when smiling) wrinkles will not go away with laser resurfacing.  These lines may see very minor improvement with laser resurfacing (and Retin A for that matter), but significant improvement will only be seen with Botox, Dysport or Xeomin.  These lines are created when facial muscles contract so relaxing the muscles with neurotoxins like Botox and Dysport is necessary to achieve the best outcome.

Fraxel or Co2 are best for resurfacing. I always combine lasers with microneedling/prp, fillers, Botox, Sculptra, peels and rf treatments for more robust outcomes for facial rejuvenation. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Dear dabrownie,wrinkles around the eyes is the number one complaint of may people as we age.
