I’m interested in getting a BBL that still looks natural and athletic. I’d like my hip dips filled in a little, but not a lot. I’m wondering if my natural shape is a square. I’m also wondering what shape would look the most flattering and natural on my body: round, heart or something else. Do I even need a BBL, or would just lipo 360 get me a good hourglass/pear shape? I am 30, 5’4” and 135 lbs.

That is a great question! From my experience,  you are a great candidate for lipo 360 with fat grafting to both your hips and buttocks. We can still provide a natural and athletic appearance while giving you a nice shape. If undergoing a BBL is not for you, doing lipo 360, especially to your waistline can accentuate your buttocks nicely, but it would not provide you volume or fill your hip dips. based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thank you for your question and photos. You are correct, you have a square shape in the back view photo. You would do well with VASER Hi Def lipo 360 degrees and fat transfer to the hip dips (zone C) and some enhancement in projection. Lipo 360 only will not change your buttock shape. I tried to avoid descriptive terms like pear or heart when describing peoples body shapes or potential outcomes from procedures.
I generally see the female figure as an S curve.
This curve usually starts at about the armpit level and goes down to just outside the knee.
In your case, the main issue is fullness in the love handles with lack of volume in the hip dip area.
The goal of the procedure should be to reverse those volume problem areas, which should convert your body to having a smooth, even feminine S curved.
 Philosophical approach, skill and experience varies substantially among different plastic surgeons, so there is no one way to approach this procedure or how to assess each person.
Delivering consistent quality, Liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people realize.In the end, provider selection is by far the most important variable.
Finding the right plastic surgeon is more difficult than most people realize.
And the hands of the wrong provider you could end up with disfigurement and a life of regret.
In the hands of the right provider, you can have a stunning body transformation making you wish you were done the procedure earlier.
 To find the right provider, I suggest the following.
First get a set of standard body pictures, the way plastic surgeons take before and after pictures.
Bring pictures of yourself to use as a reference during any consultation.
Next make a list of providers in your community who seem to be good at this procedure.
Schedule multiple consultations with several different providers.
The more consultations you have the more likely you are to find the better provider for your needs.
 Now, recognizing it’s your responsibility to learn how to vet plastic surgeons.
This may be potentially intimidating and most people don’t have much experience with it.
During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patients who look just like you do.
This is we’re having pictures of yourself comes in handy.
Don’t rely on memory or looking in mirrors to remember what you look like when reviewing before and after pictures.
 The goal is to see lots and lots and lots of before, and after pictures of people who had similar body characteristics who had consistently high-quality outcomes.
And experience provider should have more before and after pictures than you have time to look at.
I would say any provider should be able to show you at least 20 previous examples of patients who have the procedure with similar body characteristics. I highly recommend scheduling in person consultations and avoiding virtual consultations.
When in doubt, slow down and schedule more consultations.
Average plastic surgeons deliver average results.
If you want an exceptional outcome, you’ll need to find an exceptional provider.
