Medical clearance - should they always be requested before surgery?

Hello I’m scheduled for bbl and breast augmentation and my surgeon didn’t request a medical clearance from me, he explained to me that I’m under 40 years old with no medical conditions and that he’s not concerned so therefore he would only need blood work. Is that accurate?

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
