We continue to see very promising results with PRP SC for hair growth. Results are dependent on the severity and cause for hair loss. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles
There are many PRP protocols. I am fond of the monthly treatments for 3 to 4 months followed by quarterly treatments. Studies are just being completed that will substantiate the best protocol. The longevity of PRP is betwren 4 months and one year. Differences exist with each individual. Find a PRP expert.PRPHAIRMD.COM
Hi,thanks for the question. The time interval between 2 sessions of PRP is approximately 2-3 weeks.A person normally requires 4-5 sessions of PRP .You need to apply topical Minoxidil and take oral multivitamins along with biotin.A protein rich diet is important.
PRP can be a repeated treatment. The improvement of hair density varies from patient to patient, but typically improves withing 3-6 months after treatment.
Thank you for your question. I generally recommend 3-6 PRP treatments for hair loss, 4-6 weeks apart. If not responding by the third treatment, I would discontinue the injections. There is not a 100% response rate. In addition to the PRP, I strongly recommend low level laser therapy (LLLT) with an in-home device such as LaserCap, or LaserBand and either finasteride to suppress DHT production in males or Revivogen to suppress PRP activity in the scalp in men and women. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
I think give it 6 months before judging. I do 2 treatments one month apart. I recommend Minoxidil (rogaine) afterwards. Some use Propecia. Good luck.
It is not uncommon to shed up to 50 or so hairs per day.The effects of PRP are fairly short lived -perhaps months. It is possible that you fall into the small percentage of people who do not respond to Minoxidil -adding Finasteride may be helpful.I would discuss this with your doctor.
Although this most likely does not adhere to most providers PRP schedules, it will unlikely cause any harm or problem with hair loss. I generally recommend treatments 6 weeks apart for a series of 3 treatments. If treatments are spaced closer together (2 weeks) I am not sure if the...
I suggest seeing a dermatologist with expertise in hair loss for a formal evaluation. Any hair loss treatment takes 6 months to evaluate, so you will have to do 6 monthly treatments and then my patients cut the treatments down to every 6-8 weeks there after to maintain if the treatments are ...
In my opinion the simplest way to stop the loss hair loss from stopping finasteride would be to begin dutasteride or topical finasteride. PRP, and oral or topical Minoxidil may be helpful in slowing down the process, however only the dutasteride works by the same mechanism.PRPHAIRMD.COM
In my opinion, unless you have keloids or severe scarring Alopecia, the combination of betamethasone and .5 mm Derma rolling is excessive. It may produce atrophy as well as other side effects. Regarding your other questions, use of the oral homeopathic medications for DHT are not very effective....
Results are very promising for PRP SC for the scalp. All treatments have risks, so a thorough knowledge of these is an important part of any treatment. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles
