Although this most likely does not adhere to most providers PRP schedules, it will unlikely cause any harm or problem with hair loss. I generally recommend treatments 6 weeks apart for a series of 3 treatments. If treatments are spaced closer together (2 weeks) I am not sure if the treatments will still have the same timeline for success. Not everyone is a good candidate for this treatment so please see a Board Certified or Board Eligible Plastic Surgeon to evaluate if you may benefit. Good luck! This content is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment provided by a qualified healthcare professional. We perform PRP SC for hair growth and results are promising It would be reasonable to shorten the interval between treatments. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles
I have a very specific protocol, every 3-4 weeks for 6 months with photography. I also add in progesterone to speed the healing process. After that the injectors are tailored down. You should also be on viviscal and other growth promoting ingredients. Best, Dr. Emer.
There is no contraindication to having PRP injected 2 weeks apart however for maximal response therapy should be continued.Additionally, for best results PRP should be combined with Minoxidil and/or Finasteride in a maintenance fashion.
In my opinion, PRP treatments with a two week separation should be effective. However, additional treatments are necessary in order to perpetuate the response. Find a PRP expert.PRPHAIRMD.COM
So PRP initial starting dose sequence are 3-4 sessions every 2 -4 weeks though some providers will go up 6 weeks but should be fine.
Thank you for your question. Since there is not a well designed study regarding the frequency or number of PRP treatments to stimulate hair growth this is a difficult question to answer. I don't see a problem with doing it. The bigger question is whether you will gain us much or more benefit from injecting the PRP that close together. In addition to PRP, I encourage all of my andro-genetic hair loss patients to use some form of low level laser therapy at home (LaserBand, LaserCap, Theradome, etc) and a dihydrotestosterone (DHT) blocking agent (Finasteride - oral medication or Revivogen - topical). I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
Thank you for your question, You can definitely receive two PRP treatments one week apart, though you may not see the same dramatic results that you would see if you received more treatments. Be sure to find a PRP expert in your area to perform the treatment. Best of luck!
That should be fine and you will probably need more later to keep the stimulated hair follicles going. Thank you for your question and good luck.
Thank you for your question. With regard to PRP combined with Acell, there are no well designed studies to document whether there is increased effectiveness versus PRP injections alone. Intuitively, I believe the Acell will enhance the results. There is quite a bit of variability in response to...
Any benefits you gained from taking finasteride and any hair loss you might have had will all reverse upon stopping the drug and there is nothing that can be done about it
In my opinion, unless you have keloids or severe scarring Alopecia, the combination of betamethasone and .5 mm Derma rolling is excessive. It may produce atrophy as well as other side effects. Regarding your other questions, use of the oral homeopathic medications for DHT are not very effective....
