Hi all! I just scheduled the butt implants surgery for next month. I’ve been doing research for months and I finally chose to go with Dr. John Orlas Blair in Medellin, Colombia. I’m getting implants because I exercise a lot, so a BBL wouldn’t work for me. I’ve talked to the doctor on the phone and via WhatsApp and so far he has answered all my questions. I will keep you posted on my journey.

Hi all! I‘m in Medellin.
I met Dr. Orlas today and the anesthesiologist Today. Dr. Orlas is great. He answered all my questions without rushing me. He took the time to explain the procedure, the risks and to go over the different options (sizes) until we
agreed on one. I told him him to pick the size he believes will get me the closest to the look I’m going for but keeping it a safe size for me and my body type. We agreed on motiva anatomic 455 ccs.
I uploaded some before pictures. My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday at 9am.

I don’t know why my pictures are not uploading so I’m going to try again. Surgery is tomorrow at 9. I’m very excited and nervous. My husband is with me to help me with the recovery.

Hello everyone.
I had surgery this morning. Everything went well. I’m feeling pretty good right now. The pain I’m feeling is similar to the pain I’ve felt after running a marathon, so it’s not so bad. I didn’t get the pain pump because I’m usually ok with pain. I’m taking pain pills now. The first time i got up when the nurses were going to discharge me I almost passed out. I started sweating a lot and felt like throwing up. The nurse treating me was amazing. She gave me soup, juice and waited with me until i felt better. They also gave me juice several times while i was waiting to be discharged before I started feeling bad.
I’m back at the hotel now. I’ve had more soup and a full meal with chicken and rice.
The doctor has been great. He gave me his personal phone number to text him or call him if i have any questions. I’ve been laying down most of the time and walking around when i get up to eat or go to the bathroom.
I attached some pictures he took after the surgery. My implant is 455ccs Motiva anatomic. It looks really big right now but the doctor said Im swollen so the size might get a little smaller than what it is right now.

The pain is a worse today than it was yesterday. Taking off the shorts and putting them back on was a mission because I’m swollen. I emptied my drains today for the first time and it was sort of gross. The doctor said everything looks good today and I see him again on Saturday. I’m trying to get up every 1-2 hours to take a quick walk around the room because if I stay in bed longer than that my legs start feeling very heavy. My right butt cheek looks more swollen than the left one but I had the same issue when i did my boobs and they evened out eventually so I’m hoping the same will happen with this surgery. I had a hard time sleeping last night. I kept waking up with arm and back pain. I placed a small pillow under my tummy and that helped a little. I’m also using a neck plane pillow as a pillow for my head because somehow it eases my back pain. Overall, I’m very happy with the results so far. The implants gave me an illusion of hips. I know I’m still swollen and the size will likely decrease a little but I think I’ll still be happy with the outcome.

It’s been 3 days since the surgery. I saw the doctor today and he took the drains out. He says everything looks good and i have my next appointment on Tuesday. Sleeping is still a struggle. I have to get up every 2 hours or so because of pain. The pain I’m feeling is mostly from sleeping on my stomach. My stomach, boobs, arms and neck hurt. I wake up with a puffy face and puffy eyes. I had my first bowel movement yesterday and now it happens every time i eat. I make sure to clean the area well and I use a spray the doctor the doctor recommended after cleaning the area. Getting in and out of bed is a lot easier now that i don’t have the drains anymore. I’ve been walking more and I feel more comfortable doing things in the room. I haven’t gone out much after the surgery. I haven’t tried to sit down or lay on my back because i don’t feel comfortable doing that yet. My appetite is pretty much back to normal now.
I love the size of my butt and the shape the doctor gave me. I think I’m still a little swollen specially around my hips.

It’s been 8 days since my surgery now. I’m done with all pain meds and antibiotics. I’m still a little swollen, specially on my hips and lower back. I believe my left implant has began to drop or has settled more into the pocket. My right one still looks a little high when compared to the left one. I’ve been walking a lot more. The other day I met one of my booty sister from this site @zja and it was great to share our recovery stories.
I’m walking close to normal now but still slow. I saw the doctor 2 days ago and got a chance to see the incisions. They are about 3 inches long. He says everything looks pretty good. I can wet the incisions now when I shower then dry them with the blow dryer on cool setting. After that, I have to spray rifocina on them and cover them with gauze. I love Doctor Orlas. He has been very quick to answer any questions I have even on weekends. I feel like he really cares about his patients. I love the size and the shape of my butt. It’s exactly what I was looking for.
I am uploading a few new pictures of my progress and one showing how I’ve been sleeping. I’m still sleeping on my stomach and the pillows have helped make it a little more comfortable. If you have any questions let me know!

Everything is going great! It’s been 18 days since the surgery. I went back to work this week. I was a little nervous about my incisions opening since I have a desk job. I’ve followed my doctor’s instructions and get up every 30-40 minutes to take a walk and to relieve pressure. Looking back, I should have probably taken another week off work. I’m not sitting directly on my implants. I’m putting most of the pressure on my thighs, which is causing my thighs and lower back to hurt a lot by the end of the day. Driving to and from work has been hard but manageable. I’m driving on the booty pillow. My incisions are closing nicely. I’m changing the gauze twice a day after I shower and I’m still applying rifocina (antibacterial). Sleeping on my stomach has gotten a little easier. I still wake up a little sore and with puffy eyes, but at least I’m not waking up every 2-3 hours anymore. I don’t think I’m swollen anymore. My right butt cheek still feels tighter than my left one. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results. Dr. Orlas gave me exactly what I was looking for. I’ll update again in a couple of weeks :)

Hi there!
I made it to 1 month. My mom cut my stitches yesterday and I started applying the scar cream today along with the silicone sheets. The recovery has been great, except for having to sit at work for so long. I take frequent breaks and sit on a rolled up towel which has helped a lot but after a while it gets uncomfortable. I’m back to my normal walking speed. I’m still driving on my booty pillow. I tried sleeping on my sides but after about an hour it got uncomfortable. I felt pressure on the side of my butt cheek so I went back to sleeping on my stomach. I’ll try again next week.
The incisions are healing nicely. They look like they’re fully closed now. I sent a couple of pictures to the doctor and he said they look good. They’re hidden in the butt crack and I can only see the higher part of them if I’m standing. I attached a picture of how they look laying down. The scars from my boob augmentation healed well and you can barely see them now so I’m hoping it’ll be the same with these.
The lower part of the cheeks are starting to jiggle a little when I walk. The top and middle still feel hard. My butt no longer hurts when I walk or go up the stairs but it does hurt a bit when I touch it or put pressure on it.
I can’t wait to get back to the gym because I’ve lost some of the thickness in my legs, but the doctor said I should wait 2 more months for leg and butt workouts so I’ll be patient. I’m still wearing the compression shorts.
When it comes to Dr. Orlas, I know he doesn’t have a lot of reviews on here, but he’s always booked, which leads me to believe he probably gets a lot of his patients through word of mouth. I haven’t had any problems with the recovery. I still text him with questions and progress pictures and he replies fairly soon. Overall, I’m very happy with his care as a doctor.
I’ll post another update in a few weeks!

I’m about a week away from making 2 months since my surgery. Everything is still great. Sitting has gotten easier. I can sit for about 2-3 hours without needing to take a break. I can sleep on my sides now but I’ve noticed that after 2 hours i wake up feeling soreness on the side I’m laying on so I need to switch sides. I’m not laying on my back yet. I’m still driving with the booty pillow because it’s more comfortable. My butt is softer now and it jiggles a little when I walk. I still can’t dance or run because it hurts.
I’m going to start working out again next week but only doing light cardio. I’m still wearing the compression shorts (I’m supposed to wear them for 3 months). Most of my old jeans still fit but they just look better now and i think my hips got a little wider.

Just wanted to make a quick update. I make 4 months next week. Everything is still great. I can pretty much do everything i used to do before the surgery except run or Jump because it stills hurts a bit. I don’t feel the implants when sitting down or walking. The scars are still pretty visible, but they’re in the butt crack so you can’t see them. I’m applying the scar cream religiously so hopefully they’ll fade. The implants are way softer now and my butt jiggles when I dance. I’m back at the gym doing weights and cardio without a problem (except running). I’m very happy with the results and I would do it again.

Everything is still great. I love the shape and size of my butt. I don’t think it’s noticeable that i have implants. I do catch people staring sometimes, but i think it’s because I’m pretty thin. My workouts are back to normal except ab exercises on the floor, so I’ve just been doing other ab workouts. It doesn’t hurt but it does feel a bit different. It feels like I’m putting pressure on something (possibly the implants). I can lay on my back, sit on the floor with my legs straight and crossed without a problem. I sit at work for hours and it doesn’t bother me.
Great doctor and results!

Hello everyone!
It’s been one year since my surgery. I haven’t updated this in a while so I’ll try to be as detailed as possible.
I’m fully healed now. I can do mostly everything I used to do before the surgery. I can lay flat on my back and sides without a problem, but rolling to either one of my sides from that position is a bit uncomfortable. It doesn’t hurt but I just feel the implants when I do that so I’d rather not roll over directly over the butt cheeks if that makes sense.
I can do sit ups and ab workouts on the floor now. I can sit for hours without a problem. I do feel the implants when i jump and run because my butt jiggles, but it’s not uncomfortable and it doesn’t hurt either. I think the implants look great from the sides, standing, sitting, walking and squatting. When i bend over though I feel like you can see where the they begin when I’m naked or only wearing underwear. I don’t think you can tell when I’m dressed. I’m thinking of maybe getting sculptra to fill that area and maybe add a little bit of hips. I posted a picture bending over to show what I mean. I’m very skinny and I think that could also be why that shows. I’d love to get a fat transfer to fill that part but it’s very hard for me to gain weight so it’d have to be sculptra if I do get anything done.
The butt cheeks have gotten a lot softer. The scars have faded but they’re still noticeable if you’re looking for them. The good thing is they’re hidden between the butt cheeks.
I have no regrets and I’m very happy with the results. I think the doctor did a great job and he helped me choose the perfect size for my body type.

It’s been a while since I posted an update. Everything is still the same. No complications. I was looking into getting a fat transfer to fill the top area a bit more but now I‘ve gained a few pounds i think I’m just going to stay like this. The shape has not changed and I still love my butt.

Updated on 13 Nov 2023:
It’s going to be 5 years since my surgery and I figured it’s time for an update.
I’ve decided to remove the implants. I haven’t had any complications and I still think the doctor did a great job, but i don’t think they’re for me anymore. I’m very active and the implants are getting in the way of me doing activities I enjoy doing, like running. I’m not sure if it’s due to the size but my butt hurts after running for a while. I’m also thin and work out often. If i lose some weight, the implants look a little pointy from some angles which makes me uncomfortable in bikinis. If I lay on my back for too long my butt hurts. They look great while standing straight, but I’m very active and they in get in the way now.
I don’t have any issues sitting down as I don’t feel them at all when sitting down. The first 2 years or so they were great but they feel heavier now for some reason. I did try sculptra around the implant to see if that would help with the pointy look. It helped a little.
I’m talking to a couple of doctors and hoping to remove them early next year. I’m not doing a fat transfer at the same time so i am a little worried about how the skin is going to look, but I’ll wait and see what happens.
I’ll keep you all posted.
