I normally get 30 unit of Dysport on each side my jaw, equaling 60 units total. Today I received 25 units of Jeuveau on each side, equaling 50 units. Will I potentially receive the same effect as I did the 60 units of Dysport?
Answer: Jeauveau vs. Dysport Jeauveau and Dysport units are measured differently. For every one unit of Jeaveau you need to use three units of Dysport. So, your old Dysport dose was the equivalent of 20 units of Jeuveau (10 on each side). So using 50 units of Jeuveau (25 units of Jeuveau on each side)will likely result in weakening the masseter more. This could potentially lead to a more noticeable and longer lasting result.

Answer: Tox Units are not equivalent The different brands of neuromodulator have unique units which are not directly interchangeable. It is likely that the injector who did your Dysport was telling you the units in "botox units" so as not to be confusing. The conversion rate is 3 to 1, meaning that 30 actual Dysport units would be equivalent to only 10 units of Jeuveau. 10 Dysport units would not be enough to treat a masseter muscle. So, again, because the math and the concept on this are confusing to clients, we tend not to "talk" in actual Dysport units but rather take them and multiply by 3 and report it as if it is more like the other brands units.
