You definitely don't need a facelift at your age. If you want to add some volume to the hollow areas in your upper cheeks (below you lower eyelid) you might be a candidate for facial fat injections. You own fat is harvested with a small liposuction cannula (often the fat is taken from your abdomen) and then injected into this area to provide volume. Fined a board certified plastic surgeon with a lot of experience in fat grafting to see if you are even a candidate for this. It is very hard to tell from just the two photos you posted.
The aging process usually starts with some volume loss in the upper cheeks and face that can give the appearance of sagging below. At 27 and based on your pictures, some fillers to your upper face will do wonders with refreshing your appearance. A facelift is the right procedure at this time. Replacing volume in your upper cheeks will also provide some lift to the lower face and jawline, so you will get contouring in both the cheek area and jawline with well placed fillers. Other options to consider for skin tightening overall is non-invasive energy based devices such as Ultherapy.
Hello! What you are seeing and experiencing is a loss in volume, not necessarily excess skin. You are just hitting that sweet spot time frame when you are now seeing the effects of volume loss. Fillers are a great way to restore facial volume loss. Good luck!
You are a bit young to consider facelift surgery. But two things that might help are 1. Filler or fat transfer to improve the volume of your face, and 2. Skin peels or resurfacing to tighten and smooth the complexion. Be sure to see a facial specialist for consultation.
Sometimes people notice rapid signs of aging and there are manynonsurgical and surgical options to help correct this. Surgery is notalways suitable for everyone. In today's day and age, there are manysurgical and nonsurgical options to address various concerns one hasfor their face as they age.In general, surgery is one of the best ways to address certain areasone does not find appealing, but it is not the only solution. Laserskin tightening and all sorts of injectables can definitely helpsignificantly especially for patients that are not interested insurgery. When you're ever interested in surgery, the procedure is muchdifferent than what you're probably reading about online. A short scarfacelift or mid face lift can typically be done under local anesthesiain the office, usually in as little as 20 to 30 minutes. There areusually no drains, recovery is quick and most patients take nonarcotics.I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon inyour area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot offacelifts but also offers all the nonsurgical options such asinjectables and laser treatments. Go over your concerns with them andmake sure above all, you walk out of there with several options andnever be pushed out with just one suggestion. Ultimately there arepros and cons to every procedure whether it's surgery or not surgery. It should always be your choice. I have had 80 year old patients bevery happy without having had any surgical procedures.I hope this helps and wish you all the best. Thanks for your question! You are not a candidate for a facelift at this point in your life. If you have concerns about losing volume in your face, I would consider some noninvasive options such as fillers or some lasers that help to restore collagen. Good luck!
Hi Movingmom,Thanks for sharing your question and photos,You may wish to find out more about non surgical Treatments, rather than a Facelift at the moment. your clinician will be able to advise you with regards to facial fillers, which can be used to help restore volume, to give you the desired outcome. All the best and and enjoy your natural beauty
At age 27, it is far too early for a facelift. After reviewing your photos, I think you would achieve a great result from facial filler. Dermal filler can help restore volume in the cheeks, mouth, jawline and other areas, to give the face a more youthful appearance. I recommend setting up a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist to discuss facial filler. Best of luck
A facelift is out of the question. You are beautiful on the outside and need to concentrate on the inner you. Find something you love and learn to do it well. you will meet people that share the same passion and will enjoy you for who you are, not what you look like.
Although we are not able to see an extended collage of photos of you ( two front portrait views in fact ), I would hope and imagine that most or all Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeons would be edging towards the concept of this being “crazy talk” to even remotely consider someone with your appearance and age undergoing major aging face surgery. Travel the world and find yourself- and if need be, revisit this concern in another 10 or 15 years, if and when your face starts to develop some of the surgically remedial signs of gravitational aging. In short-you still look way too good to be thinking along these lines at this point !!!!
