It looks like your second procedure was well done and the lobule (earlobe) is well supported. I would manage your body's tendency to form scar tissue with frequent (weekly if needed) injections of Kenalog/5FU, the topical application of a scar therapy gel, and sunscreen. I would also consider one or more low-density deep fractional CO2 laser treatments followed by the topical application of Kenalog/5FU. I don't think additional surgery would be advantageous at all. Focus on the quality of the skin and the incisional scar. 

At 3 weeks post repair, it's too early to see the final result. It may take up to 6-12 months. Based on your photos, it appears that the results are very good. Continue to follow your new surgeon's instructions. 

Sorry to hear that you had a initial bad experience with your facelift causing scaring.  It seems the scar revision that you had is going well after 3 weeks.  Apply mixture of scar gel with cortisone cream to the area and give it at least 3 months.

Hi Lilla,Sorry to learn of your frustrations and depression.  At this point, please be patient - you should follow your new surgeon’s recommendations, and ask which, if any, silicone scar gel, sunblock, and massage techniques he recommends.  At 6 months or longer, you may be a candidate for further treatment for improvement of the surgical scars, but wait and see - you may not need anything.While you’re waiting, stop looking in the mirror.  You can camouflage the incisions with makeup and hair, go out and live life, meet new people, and find something you enjoy doing.Best wishes,Dr. Jay

The last thing you need right now is more surgery. Sorry, but you need to let these wounds heal as much as they can over the next year. Massage, sun block, possible Kenalog injections and possible fractionated CO2 laser may be helpfull. You have to find a surgeon who wants to help you through this long term process and that may not be easy. 

Well, looking at the pictures it seems to be still to much tension at your scars. The problem is surely solvable, but not by using any ointment. To asses the skin tension and the tension vectors a personall examination is necessary.Best regardsDr. Tribull, Berlin, Germany

your one week postop picture looks fine to me. You have a tendency of weak scar healing with early widening. Try to apply frequent scar massage and to avoid unnecessary pull on the ears and neck when turning your head. Seek advise from you current surgeon.

Scars usually take a year or so to fully mature. At this point, you are still early in the healing process and your scars will still flatten out as it heals. Silicone gel, tape, or massage may help as early as now but you will have to follow which management your surgeon will tell you to follow. It is too early to conclude your results. 

Hi - I completely understand your concern in this second round of surgery.  Three weeks is still very early in the healing process.  Your surgeon will no doubt have their recommendations for how to help your scar heal.  In general, your scar can change quite a bit over the 6 month period.  Using scar treatment therapy - there are many options  out there and your new surgeon will have their preference.   Keeping the scar out of  the sun/using sunscreen and massage can actually be very helpful.  I hope things settle for you soon.

Sorry that your experience is not up to your expectation. I agree that your plastic surgeon did an amazing job correcting a difficult issue. The recurrence of scars is multifactorial. Scars always start out dark and lighten, so that will improve with time. As long as the closure was under no tension, you should not expect recurrent pixie-ing or widening of the scars. This tends to be more common with skin-only facelifts. If need be, a future revision should address the deeper layers to ensure tension-free closure. For now, time, steroids, and frequent visits to your plastic surgeon are warranted. You may be surprised whit time alone can accomplish :)
