Bilateral gyne surgery 15 months ago. Revision surgery right side 9 months ago. Right side still considerably larger than left. Scar tissue present on right side. What can be done to fix this? Before photo, current photo, close up right breast with arm raised and visible lumps (above/right and below/left of nipple.).
Answer: Asymmetry correction after gynecomastia Based on the photo it is possible that too much tissue was taken from that one side. This is not that uncommon, particularly in people there generally thin. In other cases it is not a situation where it too much tissue was taken, but that the tissue scars are firmly against the muscle creating adherence. This is particularly frustrating. However, the good news is this can be quite easily fixed with transfer of fat to the area. Please see someone who specializes in this type of surgery for the best result possible.

Answer: Gynecomastia results Dear gratefulhead1, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Gynecomastia Treatment Gynecomastia is the condition where the male breasts are seen enlarged due to the augmentation of breast tissues. This can be seen either in one or both breasts. In cases of bilateral involvement, one side is impacted more than the other and leading to an asymmetrical appearance. Mild cases of asymmetry are common but in a few cases, the difference is evident. The difference in the number of breast tissues or changes as a result of underlying chest wall and muscles are the major reasons for asymmetry. The treatment for asymmetry involves liposuction and direct glandular excision. The procedure involves leaving equal amounts of subcutaneous tissue at the end of treatment. The larger the gland, the longer the time takes for skin recoil. With underlying chest muscles, there is nothing to be done during the procedure and the difference in chest muscles arises from altered posture and position during strength training exercises. It is best to consult an expert before any treatment and can seek help and advice from the expert trainer for the correction of posture and technique. Gynecomastia surgery is to minimize the effect of deformity. Asymmetry is commonly seen in patients, but severe asymmetry is uncommon. So, the individual must understand the process and strategies involved. Skin incisions take 12 to 18 months before they stop changing and it happens in everyone.

Answer: Revisio Hi it's a difficult scenario as already two times surgery has been done which increase the fibrous tissue/scarring under the skin. I would suggest one side fat transfer along with scar release. and other side liposuction.

Answer: Trying to get the perfect outcome Your second picture shows indentation from excessive removal of tissue. Gynecomastin The Surgery rarely delivers the ideal just outcome for a variety of reasons. Patients should be content with an improvement and be reluctant to continue having surgery in the hope of attaining perfection. Removing too much tissue can create irreversible deformities. Your situation is complex and requires better pictures and in reality and examination. Simply based on your post a question if a second revision is indicated. It’s easy to play Monday morning quarterback. These procedures can be challenging. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
