If I get a second nose job by the same surgeon who did the first one, will I have to pay the full amount a second time?

Every surgeon has his or her own
policy regarding the cost of a revision rhinoplasty. It is pretty common for
surgeons to offer returning patients a second nose job at an extremely
discounted rate or, rarely, completely free of charge. Still, this is
determined on a case-by-case basis, and can vary according to what specific
results the patient is unhappy with. For a better assessment of how much a
revision rhinoplasty will cost you, contact both the original surgeon who
performed your initial nose job and a few other prominent surgeons in your
area. You may decide that you feel most comfortable returning to your original
or may want to explore other options before committing to the second surgery. 

Every surgeon has a different policy regarding financial coverage of revision procedures, just like every patient and his/ her nose is unique.  Furthermore, every rhinoplasty surgeon has a finite revision rate that is above 0%; this is due to unpredictable healing of tissues, scarring or history of trauma and/ or surgery, and many, many other factors that are patient-related.  I usually ask patients to cover the cost of anesthetia and operating room for a revision, and waive my surgical fees; however, there are certainly exceptions to my rule.  I think you would be best served by having a discussion with your surgeon and  develop and treatment and payment plan.  Best of luck.
