You may still have some swelling at 10 weeks after liposuction of you abdomen. Normally the swelling would be expected to be gone by 3-6 months after surgery. If you are becoming more swollen at this point in time, please follow up with your surgeon, as your swelling should be going down now.A compression garment can be very helpful for the swelling.Best of luck to you,Dr. Nancy de Kleer
Thank you for your question. You are still very early in the post - operative recovery period. Swelling will gradually subside over the next three - six months. You may wear a compression garment over the next several months if you feel it helps. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.
Thank you very much for your question. Swelling after Lipo suction can be excessive, especially in the first 2 to 3 months. That is the reason why we suggest to wear a compression garment. The swelling will always go away but it might take some time (6 months to completely disappear). After a lipo suction there cannot be more fat than before (unless you have all of a sudden gained a lot of weight) Just be patient it will go down. Otherwise do seek the advice of your doctor. Have a wonderful rest of the day.
Although it can take 6 months for the swelling to fully resolve, you should be looking better than you did before your procedure. Also, if the swelling is getting worse, this really needs to be assessed in person. Schedule an appointment with your surgeon to be examined and discuss your results. Sorry to hear that you are unhappy. Best of luck.
If you have not gained any weight, you still may have a fair amount of swelling. Do let your surgeon check you to make sure you do not have a pocket of excess fluid causing part of the swelling.
No posed photos! But in my experience immediate results are usually seen with ANY lipo techniques if done properly by the treating surgeon. Best to seek in person second opinions...
Often after liposuction the treated areas become very swollen. Overtime this usually improves, If you feel it has not progressed quickly enough, then you are best to go for follow-up with your doctor.
your results should be getting close to final at this point. Your results should be getting close to final at this point. If you're not happy with the results now is unlikely you'll be happy with the long-term results. I suggest following up with your provider and sharing your concerns with him or her. There's no way we can tell you if your procedures done correctly or not.Mats Hagstrom, MD
Thank you for your question. While you can liposuction several areas at once there is a limit to how much fat can be removed safely. Risks from liposuction increase significantly when over 5 liters of fat are suctioned out. We usually stay below this limit for patient safety. We’ve found that we...
The textbook answer is to never do excavation within the first 12 months. Your scars will fade substantially over the next 6 to 12 months. The simplest thing you can do is to use silicone sheeting. It looks like a small piece of tape. Use just enough to cover the scar. Apply it and leave it on...
That is a perfect idea/plan. Liposuction will enhance the waist and make the butt appear larger without the grafts and additional down time. Next step is a formal consultation with a plastic surgeon. Best wishes.
Hello and thank you for posting photos along with your question. Although it can take swelling about 6-12 months to completely resolve it typically gets better with time and not worse. I can see a difference between your 4 month photos and the ones after and do see that you seem to be more ...
I dont think this is a common procedure for defects given the efficiency of fat grafting. However, if you are secure in your choice, my recommendation would be to call the company and ask for the local representative in the area. They should be able to tell you their busiest provider.
