This is a common question in a office that performs PRP. Most people do not want to start an ongoing treatment if they plan on getting pregnant and have to discontinue it. Theoretically, PRP could be continued during pregnancy. A discussion with the patient and their obstetrician is necessary. PRPHAIRMD.COM
I am not aware of any data indicating that PRP is contraindicated during pregnancy.I do not have any experience with CO2 lasers.I would recommend checking with your Obstetrician first.
Thank you for your message! PRP and fractional CO2 laser resurfacing are great options to help rejuvenate the skin, improve skin texture, and build collagen. There are not many studies regarding these treatments being performed while pregnant, so we typically recommend holding off on doing anything until you are finished breastfeeding.
Thank you for your excellent question! PRP andFractional CO2 are treatments that are both safe in normal circumstances. However,at the moment, there are no scientific or clinical studies yet revealing thatthese two are safe or not safe for pregnant women. In this case, if you really need to undergo thesetreatments, it would be best to discuss it first with your OB/GYN so he or shecould let you know if this is something safe for you and your baby. In myopinion though, I would advise waiting it out so as not to compromise yourpregnancy. You can just pursue for these treatments after you have deliveredthe baby as well as after the breastfeeding period is over. This is much saferthan having to compromise the development of your baby. Once everything iscleared, you can find a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your optionsafter a thorough evaluation.
In my opinion there is no research relating to the use of these treatments in preganancy but there is no research that they are safe either . All treatments can wait till after delivery and breast feeding and time should be given for hormones to settle down
I don't think there is any contraindication in doing PRP during pregnancy, however it is an elective procedure though, so I would want to clear it with your OB Physician.
PRP involves removing blood and both Co2 and PRP are optional procedures. In pregnancy, we do not recommend optional procedures because if something negative happens, both you and your baby are affected and your baby is developing. I would recommend against doing either and then pursue after pregnancy.
I do not recommend that you have these procedures performed while you are pregnant. Focus on a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Explore cosmetic rejuvenation after you have delivered your baby.
I wouldn't use PRP for pigmentation. I believe you would have a better result for pigmention with PICO in the hands of a skilled provider.
Hi! Excellent question you have here! Yes, you candefinitely undergo microneedling treatment sessions after you have had yourhyaluronic filler procedure. Fillers are often injected in the deep part ofyour skin. Microneedling does not go that deep as it only works in the skin’s top most layer –...
Micro needling is a low-risk procedure that can be performed from head to toe to reap its collagen, elastin and growth factor stimulating benefits. Therefore, on its own it is a safe procedure to get done under the eyes by a trained professional! Platelet rich plasma is great for reducing fine...
