Will the Vanquish procedure tighten up stomach fat?

One of the things that happens when you consult with a board-certified dermatologist for a fat-eliminating technique such as Vanquish is that your skin quality is evaluated. If you are at risk for sagging, drooping skin after fat removal, then you wouldn’t be a good candidate. However, if you have minimal skin sagging, Vanquish alone does tighten the skin slightly and that may be enough for you. Or, you could add in Ultherapy to help tighten the skin. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist will let you find out if Vanquish is right for you. 

Vanquish uses radio frequency and ultrasound waves to kill the fat. Radio frequency is used to tighten the skin so you could see a little skin tightening with your vanquish treatment. I do recommend looking into exilis as well. 

Hi,We have two Vanquish ME machines and have been performing it since they were first released.  I can tell you that the Vanquish ME shines in global fat reduction.  It is radiofrequency targeted to fat based so theoretically it could also tighten skin.  However, I feel that every patient is different and in looking at the many pre and post photos of patients, it is hard to predict who will have tighter skin.  Using focused RF such as Exilis after a series of Vanquish treatments if a patient needs it.Warmly,Dr. Liu

Vanquish is a unique device that wraps around the mid section and circumferentially reduces fat in an even fashion over 4-6 sessions. 1-1.5 inch reduction is reasonable expectation. I prefer Exilis if skin tightening is desired, but some minor tightening might happen with Vanquish.

The Vanquish is used to reduce fat in the abdomen and flanks area. It uses RF to do this. RF can also cause skin tightening. I wouldn't worry about loose skin, this is not a common complaint with this procedure. Other procedures such as Exilis can be done if needed for the loose skin.

Vanquish targets fat, generally it does not tighten skin, it melts fat only. If you have good skin tone, your skin may contract on its own or you might need to follow the treatment with Exilis for skin tightening
