Lower back dimples. Can this be treated with liposuction?

2402fine Venus dimples, or otherwise known as lateral lumbar indentations are usually a generic gift passed on from mothers to male or female children. They are well defined indentations of the lower back thought to be a sign of beauty. There are specific exercises targeting the lower back which can increase definition of the region, however attainment of true Venus dimples is extremely difficult. While artful liposuction can nicely contour the lower back and remove unwanted fat unresponsive to diet and exercise, I do not recommend attempting to create Venus temples with any form of liposuction technique because failure will bring a most unattractive deformity, difficult to treat. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to explore the best options for you. Good luck.

These indentations are genetic and there's no really good way to create them. Liposuction techniques may be used to attempt creation of these dimples, however they have very limited value and may create a greater deformity than you would like

Thanks for the question, many people actually seek out the creation of venus dimples because they have an inherent beauty to them. Th dimples are from thinning of the skin and fat in boney areas. Pure liposuction around the areas will unlikely give you a long term effacement of the dimples. I would be very hesitant before undergoing a procedure for dimples. You could probably fill them with fillers fast and efficiently and safely in an office
