No period after lipo?

Question

I had liposuction on my abdomen, flanks, and outer thighs. I had this on February 8, 2019. i was supposed to get my period on February 9, 2019. I still have not gotten it and it is February 15, 2019. I know that trauma will affect my periods but when I do end up getting my period, will it be irregular or will it go back to a 28 day cycle?

I can't say it's fully connected with your operation. This might be because of your post-op psychological tension. Your period will return to normal within 2-3 months. I wish you all the best.

EricaIt is not uncommon for menstrual cycles to be disrupted by surgery and anesthesia. Your normal cycle should return within the next month or two. If not, check in with your gynecologist. Good luck.

Is not uncommon to miss a period or be late due to stress prior surgery. If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

It is very common for patients period cycles to be irregular after they had their surgery.It usually goes back to normal cycle after a few months however if you continue having this problem, see your gynecologist for an evaluation.Best Regards,Prof Dr Aydin Gozu

It is not uncommon for patients cycles to be off after surgery.  If you continue having this problem, see your gynecologist for an evaluation.
