Hello there, am I good candidate for cankle lipo? I see it takes so much long for them to heal. but I wonder if the healing ever stop? will my body always be swelling from the surgery? will I have to live with my leg getting swelled every time I do activities? because right now they are fine. I'm afraid If I do it I will cause more harm to my body than anything. it's a big decision so can you honestly help me? thanks
Answer: Cankles do so great when done by an expert in them. Cankles turn out so amazing and contrary to what you read on the internet, they are not more painful than any other liposuction and they heal just as quick. There is NOT any prolonged swelling time either when done correctly and when you wear the compression stockings as instructed. This is all dependent on you getting it done under tum. local with the microcanulas but someone who does this all the time which there are very few of us around., Get it done now and enjoy the new you.

Answer: Lower Leg Liposculpture to Calves / Ankles -- Microcannulas, Fat Removal, Skin Tightening + Coolsculpting / Kybella for Knees When we perform liposuction to the lower legs, microcannulas are used to remove fat very superficially without damaging the tissue or causing any scars or irregularities. Multiple energy devices are used to melt fat and tighten skin, which is especially needed in this small, sensitive area. Precision and skill is vital to get the best outcomes.I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert to determine the best course of treatment for you. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Liposuction for Cankles RoriSoul I appreciate your concern, however you appear to be an excellent candidate for micro liposuction of your lower leg regions to treat your so-called cankles. It is important to utilize small liposuction cannulas to contour the lower legs because there is not much fat, but it is mostly displaced. While recovery is somewhat longer than usual for liposuction in other areas, full recovery and normal function is expected. It can take as long as 9 to 12 months for all swelling to resolve after lower leg liposuction. Also, results will be appreciated, contour improved but not drastically. Be certain to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to increase chances for the best possible results. Good luck.

Answer: All about calf liposuction These are excellent questions. Based on your photos you appear to be a good candidate for liposuction of the calves and ankles, which would also be determined upon exam. Swelling will eventually resolve, but it will take longer than other areas. Calf liposuction is not the most common liposuction done, such as that of the abdomen and/or waist area, and many plastic surgeons do not have the training and experience and they do not perform this procedure. But if a plastic surgeon such as myself, who does have the appropriate training and experience, does the procedure, calf liposuction can have very dramatic results in properly selected patients. It is most important to find a place and a surgeon with the training and experience to help you get the results that you desire. One of my patients even started a blog, The Calf Lady, all about her calf liposuction experience.
