Thank you for your questions. I recommend my patients not to blow their nose, exercise, wear glasses for 2 months after their surgery. For 12 months, you will need to stay away from direct sunlight, tanning bed, exfoliating and peeling facewash or face masks and get a facial. You can eat spicy and crunchy food 1 week after your surgery. You can fly and kiss right away after the opeartion. Piercings should not be used until your healing process is complete. Your surgeon will let you know after examining you if your swelling is subsided and you have healed completely. Best of luck to you.

Each plastic surgeon has developed a unique individual postoperative rhinoplasty protocol based upon training and lifelong surgical experience and may vary considerably from surgeon to surgeon.
In our practice:
1. we discourage nose blowing for the first 4-6 weeks as the nasal bones may still be mobile and the increased intranasal pressure during nose-blowing may displace them.
2. If the VR headset rests upon the nose, it may displace the nasal bones. Wait 4-6 weeks.
3. A facial can be performed once the splint is removed at one week.

5. Air travel should be avoided for one week after surgery as you may be prone to nosebleeds.
6. Nasal piercing can be performed after all nasal drainage has ceased, and your surgeon approves.
7. It depends upon the delicacy of the event. Elevation of blood pressure during sex may induce bleeding for the first week. After that, if it doesn't hurt, it is probably okay...
8. Kiss your partner as soon as you emerge from anesthesia.
