Is 400 units of Botox a lot to get done at once?

When you have larger and higher units of botox (face and body), keep in mind that the higher the dose the higher risk of developing antibodies. The next time you get injected chaged the brand, and go with a toxin which does not contain rpoteins, such as Xeomin. That way theres no risk o very little to develop them

Cosmetic treatments are very safe and typically involve doses less than 50 units of Botox. Above that dose, unpleasant side effects are expected and likely. Having a service of 400 units could affect your ability to swallow, focus your eyes, and cause other systemic effects. I think something is terribly wrong with the office you visited that they would recommend a treatment like this. I encourage you to seek care elsewhere.

Generally speaking, I'd consider breaking up into a couple sessions. Certainly much higher doses are regularly used for other medical conditions including spasticity without any problems. That said, 200 units into the face is unusual. Hello there, 400U seems quite excessive for the areas that you mentioned. I would be careful with the amount injected especially in the neck and shoulders. Trail a smaller dose at first and if you need more you can always return for repeat injections. Good luck!

Great question! In my opinion after using BOTOX since 1994, I would split up the Botox sessions over a 2 weeks time interval. Maybe I am being conservative but always best to take the safer route!

In my experience 50-65 units of Botox is adequate to treat most of the facial muscles which cause lines or wrinkling. I understand that you are being treated for sweating as well as muscle relaxation. However it seems to me a very large amount of Botox. I would suggest you get a second opinion from an expert.
