Hi, I am interested in getting tighter skin. I am almost 40. I am not sure if sculptra or ultherapy is better for me.
Answer: Would Sculptra or Ultherapy Be Better for Me? Sculptra Restores Facial Volume
Your primary issue right now is a loss of volume in your face. This can be improved with Sculptra, which not only restores volume but improves your skin quality by stimulating your skin to produce more strengthening collagen and elastin. In addition, you could benefit from some laser resurfacing to give your skin more of a healthy glow. Combination treatment is almost always the best approach to counter the effects of aging and create a beautiful and healthy-looking rejuvenation. My office is in San Diego. Feel free to contact me for an in-person or Skype consultation.

Answer: Skin Tightening for the face with J Plasma, lasers, rf treatments, microneedling/prp, ultherapy Sculptra is good for building collagen, but lacks skin tightening. A combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with skin tightening for the face. I recommend J Plasma, lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, Co2), fillers, microneedling/prp, ultherapy and rf treatments to get the best outcomes. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Sculptra Based on the photo provided it seems you would be a good candidate for both procedures. I prefer using Thermage for skin tightening of the jaw and neckline. Thermage is a non-invasive, radiofrequency device that often gives immediate skin tightening that continues to improve for up to 6 months. Sculptra will not give you skin tightening, but it will stimulate your skin to produce collagen in the areas injected. This can be placed in areas where volume has been lost due to the natural aging process. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist who can create a plan tailored to your needs.

Answer: Aging skin hi based on your age and pictures, you are a candidate to do both but for different reasons. ultherapy is a nonsurgical face/neck/eye lift procedure. it is usually done once a year to tighten and your skin and muscle. depending on your pain tolerance, different anesthesia is available such as muscular injection of anesthetics to intravenous injections of anesthetics. as for sculptra, it is a filler but unlike juvederm or other HA fillers which plump you up immediately and over time goes away, sculptra is like planting a seed....over time it "grows"/collagen forms but need multiple treatments to achieve whatever you end goal is. the treatments are done every 6-8 weeks. it would be best to see a plastic surgeon who does a lot of ultherapy and fillers. if non surgical treatments are not for you, then surgical treatments can be discussed. hope this helps.
