My board certified doctor recommended Sculptra in my temples. I have an event coming up in six weeks and would love to have it done now, but he is not able to take me because of his busy schedule. Your thoughts on going to another board certified p s who can accommodate me? In other words, is this a highly sensitive procedure, or a fairly straightforward procedure?
Answer: Sculptra Safe for Temples? Sculptra Beautiful and Safe for Temples
Sculptra does a wonderful job of filling out lost volume in the temples. It’s a collagen stimulator, so it will stimulate your body to produce more of your own, strengthening collagen and elastin. The results can last for up to two years, though you may want to touch up at the year to year-and-a-half mark. It’s a fairly straightforward procedure, as long as the physician knows the anatomy well to avoid blood vessels and place the product strategically in the temple for the best result. Proper dilutions and quantities are important with Sculptra and your physician should be experienced in its use. Usually 2-3 sessions are needed to build the look slowly. Please find a board-certified dermatologist to administer your Sculptra. The temples are not an area you want to trust to an amateur.

Answer: Sculptra to the temples safe? I love Sculptra to the temples! I often perform filler to temples and my patients love the results. One can use other injectables to this area other than Sculptra to have an immediate result, but Sculptra is the only one that is FDA approved for this area. It is a fairly straight forward procedure for those who are experienced injectors and have performed the procedure many times. As long as your provider knows what they are doing, this is a wonderful procedure. In fact, I did my own temples this morning on myself, but I am a board certified surgeon also who does this procedure on patients daily. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Answer: Sculptra for Temples Dear Shelly, Sculptra is safe for temples provided the injection is performed properly, since the temple area has many arteries and veins as well as the frontal branch of the facial nerve. It is thus imperative that a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon or general Plastic Surgeon who is very experienced in this performs the injection in order to be able to avoid the blood vessels, given the prerequisite knowledge that such a specialist has acquired through years of residency and fellowship training in facial anatomy. I have been performing Sculptra injections to the temples for the last 14 years in my practice and our patients love the results, however it does take 3-4 months to show the final result. The Sculptra injection is performed once a month for 3 months on average. If you want an immediate result, Juvederm or Voluma may be used in the temples as well. The same caveat applies regarding the certification and skill/ experience of the injector as mentioned above. If you wish, a "liquid facelift" can be performed at the same time either with Sculptra alone or in combination with another safe injectible such as Voluma, Juvederm, Vollure, and or Volbella. It is important for you to be evaluated first by a Facial Plastic / Plastic Surgeon who is well versed both with the techniques and with the aesthetic principles and proportions and can achieve natural results. Together you can discuss your goals and decide which material is best for you, given your current time frame, your lifestyle and your budget. Best Wishes in your Quest, Dr. Anna Petropoulos Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon Boston's North Shore

Answer: Sculptra in Temples Injecting Sculptra in the temples is one of my favorite procedures to perform due to the subtle, corrective volume that is achieved. Sculptra placed in the temples will stimulate your skin's fibroblasts to produce collagen in the treated area. This procedure is straightforward but only in the right hands; I would always recommend making an appointment with a board-certified physician with a trained eye and experience.
