If I do 3 PRP sessions one month apart, and then continue to do 1-2 touch up procedures annually (assuming I respond decently to it), does this have the potential to delay/halt my hairloss indefinitely and potentially for the rest of my life? Or will the impact of DHT eventually overpower the positive effects of PRP?
Answer: PRP for AGA PRP is not likely to completely not hold back androgenetic alopecia for the life of the patient. It could be helpful and could delay hair loss. It will not block it completely over a span of 10-30 years. There are hundreds of genes responsible for androgenetic alopecia. In my opinion, the assumption that the genetic programming of the hair follicle can be completely altered by PRP for the life of the patient is incorrect.

Answer: PRP Treatments Hi, I would recommend finding a DR. that provides strong PRP Treatments, typically the more powerful prp treatments will only have you coming back every 8-12 months and will provide extremely better results than treatments that have you coming in once every 3-6 months. Keep in mind PRP is not a DHT blocker but it works very well to help make the existing hair thicker and stronger. That combined with Propecia will certainly help you hold onto what you have.
