After my high school years I gained 50 pounds then lost it all, I'm 25 now and I want a breast lift as soon as possible. I can pay half, or more than half upfront for the breast lift surgery but I'd like to make payments on the other half. Is that an option? I am in the United States and I'd like to have the procedure here. Anywhere in the U.S.A. Thanks all!

Answer: Financing for Plastic Surgery Most plastic surgeons and surgical facilities require payment in full prior to your surgery. That being said, most plastic surgeons also work with one or more of the various financing companies that will allow you to make payments spaced out over a period of time. Meet with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your goals. If you like what your plastic surgeon has to say, you can see if he or she works with a financing company. Best of luck!

Answer: Are payment plans an option for breast lift? In our practice, we use Care Credit as well as other companies; they have been used by our patients with no problems. They do have different rates so please make sure you get all of the information you need prior to signing up with any financing company. Generally speaking, it is always in patients' best interests to achieve a certain degree of financial stability prior to undergoing elective surgery of any type. Patients should also keep in mind that additional surgery may be necessary in the short or long term, following the primary procedure that is being performed; this additional surgery may be associated out-of-pocket expenses. Again, best to achieve a physical, emotional, psychosocial, and financial “stable state” prior to considering elective plastic surgery. Best wishes.
