Hello and thank you for your question. It is difficult to address your question without a in person consultation. These are forms of professional exfoliation of the skin, providing immediate results and an instant glow. Dermaplaning achieves a deeper exfoliation with the added plus of removing vellus hair (peach fuzz). To answer your question, it depends on the skin type and your goals. I personally like to pair dermaplaning with a mild enzyme or a Hydrafacial, followed by a hydrating sheet mask. Daily application of SPF is recommended, diligently reapplying every two hours. Best of luck.
Thank you for your question.I would not suggest having these two treatments done together. They are both used to exfoliate that skin and doing them in combination may be harsh on your skin. I would suggest waiting a couple weeks in between the treatments.
Great question! Doing both microdermabrasion and dermaplaning together may be unnecessarily aggressive. I would choose one or the other. If you need a good exfoliation and to unclog pores, you should try microdermabrasion. If you need a good exfoliation and removal of vellus hair, try dermaplaning.
Thanks for your question. Both Microdermabrasion and Dermaplane are methods of mechanical exfoliation. Depending on the type of Microdermbrasion, it may be a bit harsh on your skin to receive both. I prefer Dermaplaning because of the benefits of exfoliation but as well for removing vellus hair or peach fuzz. Post treatment it allows product to penetrate deeper and gives a smooth appearance to make up.
Very good question. Personally, I would not do both of these procedures together since they both are forms of exfoliation. For individuals of higher Fitzpatrick skin types, there can be increased hyperpigmentation or darkening of the skin from excessive abrasion. I would suggest alternating these procedures at least two weeks apart. The dermaplaning does remove the peach fuzz that microneedling is not able to do, which makes it a wonderful add on to a facial. Both procedures are excellent for allowing your cosmetic treatments and make up to go on better and the subsequent skin glow is fantastic.
It really depends on if you are going over the same areas of the face. With dermaplaning, it is a more aggressive exfoliating technique in comparison to microdermabrasion. However, it is hard to get certain curves of the face with the dermaplaning blade, so doing microdermabrasion on the nose area, eye lids, jaw line would be good to do in combination. Its not necessary to do both on the entire area.We hope this answered your question. Best of luck!
In experienced hands, this can be a great combination of treatments. While the microdermabrasion does a great job of physically removing that top layer of skin cells the subsequent dermaplanng can address the peach fuzz(vellus hair) issue that so many women hate. I'd caution against using a chemical peel after your microdermabrasion and I'd ensure the practitioner was fully aware that the primary goal of the dermaplaning was to address excess hair. I'd also suggest microdermabrasion first followed by dermaplaning. When done with caution it can provide a beautiful, smooth glowing result!
Thanks for your question. We generally don't do both of those treatments at the same time since they are both types of exfoliation, and may be too aggressive to do together. We often do combine dermaplaning before microneedling, which can give a better result that just microneedling alone. Best of luck and see an expert!
