Series of 3 microdermabrasion/chemicals peel treatments done and no peeling after each time?

I get a micro & chemical on the same day, wait a month, do it again, wait, do it again, by a medical esthetician. first peel was 30% - no tingle & no peeling. Second one was 50% - tingled a bit, no peeling. The last one I had 4 days ago was a 70% which finally had a tingle to it but not too much where it hurt or anything like that, and this time I had a bit of peeling. I’ve always seen videos of people almost shedding like a snake so I wondered if maybe something isn’t being done right?

Your skin doesnt need to shed like a snake whenever you do a peel inorder for it to work. Microdermabrasion also gets rid of dead skin so when you do that in combination with the peel, the peel goes in deeper and will work on accelerating the skin turnover as opposed to shedding the dead skin on the surface. Maybe try doing a peel without doing the microdermabrasion next time. It also depends on what kind of peel you are getting done as well. Most designer peels and jessner peels are the ones that really make the skin shed as opposed to the AHA peels.

The question pose, in part, is common...does a peel have to remove skin to work? The answer is, no. Skin that is in good condition tends to peel less but the resurfacing still occurs. as for the percentage of acid used- 70% makes no sense. A 30% peel is the maximum most people would use and only a doctor can give you any peel higher than 17%. so, uou may want to investigate what they are using. We use PCA self adjusting peels- find a location near you using that line or Obagi Blue peel

The numbers you are giving do not make sense and also dont know what acid was used. i am not a fan of microdermabrasion as you can get the same effect from a dry washcloth. Also what is a medical aesthetician? see an experienced qualified dermatologist
