Can I get microdermabrasion right before injectable fillers?

This will have no adverse effect on your results, as long as you keep it in that order. There is no major side effect post a microdermabrasion that is performed approximately, except erythema (redness), skin tightness and slight sensitivity. Remember to incorporate a suitable skincare regimen and daily use of SPF. Yes! It's absolutely okay and safe to get a micro-dermabrasion BEFORE injectables/fillers. I stress the word "before" because you would never want to do any facial treatment after receiving any neurotoxin and/or fillers for the possibility of the product being moved around. Always allow 72hrs before doing any treatments after injectables . You may want to try out a Dermal Infustion, which is similar to a micro-dermabrasion. Not only does the Dermal Infusion evenly exfoliates, increases circulation but also infusses a serum product like Vit C, Hyluronic Acid, amongst other possible options depending on the condition of your skin. Good luck and enjoy!

Thank you for your question. Microdermabrasion is an exfoliating procedure that helps improve uneven texture and lift off dead skin cells and impurities from the skin. There is minimal downtime and slight redness, which can last up to an hour. There should not be an issue receiving a microdermabrasion prior to injectable fillers. However, we would not recommend receiving a microdermabrasion treatment immediately after receiving fillers as this may cause the filler to move from the area injected. Please consult with a Board-Certified Dermatologist to determine if you are an ideal candidate for the procedures.

I would be fine with one of my own patient's getting filler treatment after having had microdermabrasion. However, I still recommend you confirm with your own injector.
