Answer: Ideal implant recall over and now on market The Ideal implant was temporarily unavailable in order to get further approval by the FDA after the company voluntarily identified a small issue with the valve. They are now completely available but some sizes are "back ordered" because of such high demand.

Answer: Stay Tuned I am hopeful that the Ideal implants will be available this quarter. However, as we all have learned, the FDA will allow the continued sale of Ideal implants when it feels confident that it should. It is an excellent product and a valid replacement for silicone implants. Speculation on the part of surgeons is unfortunately, wishful thinking.

Answer: No one really knows when the Ideal implant will return so if you are patient and want it, then sit tight and wait. They only come in the high profile style so if you have a wide chest or wide breasts, this is not the best choice for you unless you are going with a large size. Gel implants are readily available and will not deflate on you. I find them much more appealing over the saline implant, including Ideal.
