I’m two weeks postop I was wondering if the swelling looks normal as I feel very big and tight as well as rock hard in the lower abdomen area and also in one photo I circled a dented looking area that I was told to massage which I do. I’m not sure if the dented area is normal ?
Answer: 2 weeks post-op. I was wondering if the swelling and dented area at the top looks normal? Hello. Great question. You are still very early in your recovery process. It is normal for swelling to be present. It may take up to six months for all the swelling to go down. Keep following up with your surgeon and follow his or her post op instructions. Good luck with your recovery.

Answer: Tummy tuck results Dear Girl333, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a tummy tuck surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery. Answer: 2 weeks post-op. I was wondering if the swelling and dented area at the top looks normal? (photos) Thank you for sharing your excellent question and photographs. It appears that the majority of your concerns is due to tissue swelling which should improve with the use of compression garments, and time. After two weeks the tissues are often swollen in and around the incision line while the indentation above may be due to muscle tightening or progressive tension sutures used by your surgeon. Talk to them as they know the full details of your procedure to best provide reassurance.

Answer: 2 weeks post-op. I was wondering if the swelling and dented area at the top looks normal? Thanks for your question. You're still in the early stage of healing. There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery. The lateer phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens. It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient. Best is to discuss specifically with the operating surgeon so that he /she can take a look.
