It's only been five weeks since surgery. There's a good chance that the contour will improve as the implant settles and the muscle relaxes. You can see the contour of the top of your implant and the dent is where the implant ends. Assuming that your surgeon used a narrow enough implant for your breast dimensions, all should be well.Express your concerns to your doctor. But remember, five weeks is a very short time.
I wounder if this irregularity is your implant. I recommend a revisit with your surgeon to determine the cause and treatment. There is very little to do for the first 3-6 month other than to just support the implant in its position. Best Wishes!!
commonly happen when implants are placed under the muscle and it appears that is your situation. It can make shaving challenging sometimes. If its something you feel on your implant, discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
Try aggressive exercises to area to see if the indentation will improve. Otherwise only release operation will correct...
The good news is that you are in the very early post operative period. You can expect this area to improve as your swelling declines and the implant settles into its pocket. Express your concerns to your plastic surgeon at your next follow up. Best of luck to you!
I agree that implants generally look better as time goes on, but they should look fairly good right away. I also think that significant asymmetry is never normal after surgery - assuming that there was no asymmetry before. My guess is that the implant that looks oblong will need a pocket...
Your implants are settling in. If you compare your before and after pics, you'll see that your breasts are the same just fuller, which is what the implants do: they add volume, they do not lift breast. To address your nipple position, a lift would be required, or over time implants...
If you have gel implants, the subglandular approach is fine -although in a thin woman, it is possible to feel the rim of any breast implant. That however is a trade-off to the post-operative pain of the submuscular implant and the disruption of the muscle. The risk of capsules however may be...
The weight of your implants is approximately 1 pound for each implant.The weight of the gel is about the same as water.Water weighs 1 gm per cc.500 cc water = 500 grams.So a 500 cc gel implant = about 500 grams.500 grams = .5 kilo.5 kilo = .5 x 2.2 x 1000 = approximately 1 pound. Best wishes
Your result is, to my eye, definitely better.Your friend's implants are riding high.Whether this is from the size, profile or position - or the shape and size of her chest and breasts before surgery.would require a personal examination. If unhappy, she needs to get a copy of her operative report,...
I have a fair number of Asian patients, and there are subtle differences to their treatment.I can definitely say, however, that I couldn't tell you exactly what style and size implant you would need to get your desired result without a consultation with you first. Besides telling me...
