I started out with my right breast being ridiculous. First BA I had 360 silicone and a peri areola lift on the right side which failed. My second BA I had 535 silicone with a donut lift/areola reduction on the right side. There is so much improvement with the breast shape but the areola although improved is still larger and sits higher. I believe my surgeon really did his best and is awesome! Is improvement possible? Should I even entertain the idea?
Answer: Breast lift As with many donut lifts your areolae have stretched out but they appear to be at the right level. I would bother to redo them. They are as good as you’re going to get

Answer: Improvement can be achieved Your right breast is large in volume, the areola is higher and more lateral. Improvement could be achieved by using a circumareola approach to reduce the areola size and exchange the implant for a small one. However, you will also risk the complications and cost for doing this. The decision lies with you. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: How to maintain areolar diameter It is a challenge to prevent areolar widening after a periareolar lift with implants, but there is an excellent option. A Strattice donut shaped graft will support the diameter without using permanent sutures which can cause problems. Link to an article describing it below.

Answer: Breast Revision Judging by the photos, yes it does appear that the right side nipple and areola is higher than the left. It also may appear, at least in the photos that the left breast looks smaller from a volume standpoint. There can be some improvement with better volume match and to reduce the right areola size and lift the left areola/nipple to a higher location. Hope that helps.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Partyishere, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
