Thanks much for reaching out. Be sure to wear your compression garment at all times and follow up closely with your surgeon. There’s nothing you can do after the operation increase the amount of fat that was taken out but the swelling will improve with time.Hope this helps :-)
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation is normal.I suggest my patients to try the lymphatic massages and to use a full body compression garment, 24/7 for the first 3 months, and after that, for 12 hours a day for 3 more months, to get the best results. It is important for the compression garment to be very tight, for it to help with the swelling, after surgery. Please, follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
Compression garment protocols and adjunctive therapy like faja, binders, foam pads etc. vary from surgeon to surgeon. Post-operative compression garment therapy is very important in order to achieve the best result. Garment therapy can help further achieve ones result faster and mold it better. However, if a garment does not fit correctly, unevenly distributes pressure, or is too tight... it may affect and hinder ones overall result. It is always best to review and make sure your garment is adequate by reaching out to your surgeon in order to maximize your result.
You seen to be doing everything possible to ensure the narrowest waistline. Swelling will continue to recede for the next 5 months. Not much more you can or should do.Dr T
