I would say yes, but if you have a concern, you should bring the issue up to your surgeon.  They have a better ability to evaluate your issues and make sure there are no acute problems than asking online sites like this one.

Yes it is ok. If you are having an active infection that affects the surgical area (eg. shingles) it will be important to discuss this with your surgeon prior to surgery.

It would be important to know why you are taking the Valtrex.  If you are treating a viral infection, it would be important to discuss this with your surgeon beforehand so that he/she can make a proper decision about your eligibility for surgery.  Hope this helps!
