I am scheduled to have my breast augmentation surgery in May. I currently have the Nexplanon Birth Control implant in my arm. Should I schedule with my doctor to have it removed prior to my surgery, or can I leave it in?
Answer: BBA There is no reason that you would need to remove the birth control implant prior to a breast augmentation.

Answer: Contraceptive implant and surgery There is no compelling reason to remove it before your operation, unless the implant has expired. It will not affect your breast augmentation. That being said, if you want to make full use of your general anesthetic AND the implant has expired, you may kindly ask your surgeon to remove it at the time of your operation. Hope this helps!
