Dr. Hyans is excellent! I recently had a reduction mammoplasty, and not only do I feel like a totally new person with the results(visual, how I feel, etc) but I had minimal pain and discomfort, even the day after the surgery! Before my surgery, I was wary of my upcoming lower facelift and neck lift, concerned that it would look drastic and artificial. My goal was to look younger naturally, not tightly stretched nor like a 'skull on a stick'. I'm 54 and I just had my lower facelift done two weeks ago with Dr. Peter Hyans — and it was the best decision ever! GO GET IT DONE WITH DR. HYANS IF YOU ARE ON THE FENCE!

For the past several years, the sagging around my jawline had been bothering me. I looked angrier, more haggard and older than I felt. I had tried hyaluronic acid injections, Sculptura injections in the jawline, microneedling with radio frequency...you name it. I wish I had saved that money and had gone straight to Dr. Hyans first. (My advice to you: skip everything else and go straight to the lower facelift...you'll get a permanent result that you love!)

Dr. Hyans is the best kept secret in the tri-state area. I convinced a friend in her 50s from New York City to go to him for a lower facelift and she, too, loved the results. (No need to go to NYC to get the best results...come to New Jersey!) Dr. Hyans is a gem in Summit Medical Group. He is Medical Director of the Plastic Surgery Center and Chair of the Department of Surgical Specialties at Summit Health.

What I love about Dr. Hyans: he is friendly and quiet and not flashy or flamboyant. He is dedicated to what he does — and does it with care and attention to detail. And his entire office team backs him up. His surgical nursing team is incredibly friendly and helpful (and ALWAYS available for you when you need them), his scheduling coordinator (Nancy) is on top of everything and also there whenever you need her, and his staff nurses are also top notch.

I always felt completely comfortable and at ease (even when I panicked about a week before the surgery that something was going to go horribly wrong...it didn't...and Nancy talked me off the ledge).

The results are better than I could have ever imagined. I'm just two weeks in and am out and about with little coverup on and just a few bruises on my left lower cheek and neck. I feel good and look at least 10 years younger.

My advice to you if you're thinking about it:

1) Just do it. If your jawline and lower half of your face is bothering you, stop complaining about it and book a consultation with Dr. Hyans (the consultation fee comes off the surgery price). It's not going to get any better. In fact, it's sadly only going to get worse.

2) Stop worrying. As long as you're in good health and are not a smoker, you will be fine. (If you are a smoker, you need to get that under control before you have something like this done as the complications are GREATLY increased if you smoke. Plus, smoking is half the reason your skin looks older than it is!) This lower facelift has become a fairly routine procedure, provided you are in good health.

3) Don't wait any longer. The longer you wait, the worse the problem gets. In fact, the earlier you get it done, the longer you have to enjoy the results and the better the results.

4) Call Dr. Hyans and get that consultation on the calendar.

I also had a TCA peel under my eyes, which were looking too wrinkly for my comfort. This was done at the same time as the surgery. I would highly recommend adding this on as there's no better time to do it! (My eyes look great two weeks post surgery, though they were looking good one week after the surgery too.)

My outer cheeks by my ears is still a little numb but this goes away with time and is typical after a procedure like this.

It's one thing to see before and afters within the 6 months or so after the surgery. It's another to see the real results of what it's like to live with an amazing lower facelift.

I was going through pictures and found this before (which I had also posted initially) that I took within a few months of the surgery and had this most recent after that I just took and found the difference to be so dramatic but natural that I had to share. Everyone just comments: "You look so great!" "You look amazing!" but no one would ever attribute it to a lower facelift.

Dr. Hyans also did a skin pinch blepharoplasty on me just two months ago, which I will post about separately.

IF you are struggling with changes to your face with aging, do not wait to have a lower facelift with Dr. Hyans. You will not regret it. Simply the best money ever spent.

I was recommended to Dr. Hyans by a friend. Like with everything, I wasnt sure what to expect but as soon as he walked into the room he made me feel at ease so I knew I was going to get surgery with him. The day before surgery I felt a lil anxious but his staff reassured me that I was in great hands (she was right!). The day of his staff made me feel so comfortable that I almost forgot I was going into surgery. They were so pleasant and kind. The price is very reasonable. After surgery, I wouldnt hesitate to reach out to him if I had any questions because he would answer right away and if necessary he would have me come into his office. Dr. Hyans checks off all the boxes; educated, patient, attentive, and kind.

I'd heard about Dr Hyans through several friends. As someone in the media, I'd been looking for a surgeon for a mini-lift. I hoped to look more youthful (not fake young), regain a defined jawline (not overly-stretched) and to look just like me...except that I'd now be the best version ever. A tall order; yet Dr Hyans delivered. His calming, soothing demeanor instantly put me at ease, and I knew that I was in great hands. My recovery time was rapid (def unusual; not everyone recovers as rapidly) and I was back on air four days post-surgery. If you're considering this surgery, do yourself a favor and get a consult with Dr Hyans. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

First time visit with Dr. Hyans and he was awesome. Explained what my concerns were and he was able to help me feel at ease during the whole I process and even gave me his progressional opinion. Came up with a timeline as well for the next few visits. Will definitely be back again to see him!
