What type of pillow is recommended when in bed?

Simulate relining in a "beach chair" position with one or two pillows behind your head and one or two pillows behind your knees.  You can also sleep on your sides as though in a fetal position.   Ask your plastic surgeon what he or she recommends.

This is an important question.  After surgery it is best not to lie flat for the first couple of weeks since this puts extra stretch on your incision.  I usually recommend patients use a couple of regular pillows or a wedge behind their back and a pillow under their knees.  This keeps your body flexed and reduces tension on the area.  Best of luck.
