How does FaceTite and Profound RF differ?

Facetite is treating by placing a probe under the skin for contraction of the tissues and the skin.  Other devices like Fractora are placed at the level of the skin and then penetrate.

Both procedures represent radiofrequency energy but they are delivered by different mechanisms and the treatment goals should be distinguished.  Profound RF is a needle based energy where the energy is delivered via pins to the skin to improve skin texture, scars, wrinkles.  There are several competitors on the market including Fractora, Infini RF which utilize a similar technique.  Facetite is used for contraction of the dermis and subcutaneous fat and is applied underneath the skin through a probe like applicator.  Facetite is not designed to treat the appearance of the skin and fine wrinkles but to contract the undersurface of it.  Depending on your specific needs, an RF needling device such as Profound can be combined with Facetite to deliver even more substantial results.

Profound RF is a radiofrequency treatment that tightens the skin but also creates more volume and elastic tissue especially in the area around the jowls and the wrinkles around the mouth. I would recommend FaceTite as this is slightly more invasive and directly heats up the tissue with the probe underneath the skin. I think it is very specific at how it heats the tissues to allow for more consistent results. Profound is used at the level of the skin and emits the RF energy through microneedles. At the end of the day, they are both radiofrequency devices.

To answer your regarding Profound RF versus FaceTite - they are both RF based devices. The Profound RF delivers the RF energy into the skin through micro-needles in a stamping technique resulting in the production of collagen and elastin. FaceTite delivers the RF beneath the skin traveling up and through the skin. There is some fat destruction possible with the FaceTite hand piece. Again, there is the production of collagen and elastin. Another newer option for a non-surgical face lift to explore is the J-Plasma. This treatment involves more significant downtime (2 weeks) but with very dramatic results on pigment irregularities, wrinkles and imprinted lines, skin laxity, and reshaping the face. The plasma energy is created by the combination of cold helium gas and low energy RF. Thanks for the excellent question. I will start with the fact they both utilize radiofrequency energy treat the skin. They would both be considered minimally invasive, however, Face Tite is more of a surgical procedure. Although they both are designed to tighten skin, Face Tite will also treat the fat. In doing so the heat cause the fibrous network to contract thus pulling the skin tighter.  You can actually appreciate this occurring on the table. The Profound (Syneron Candela) which is similar to Fractora (Inmode) causes tightening by inducing the production of collagen and elastin. The combination of these two produces some outstanding results since it treats all layers.
