Gastric sleeve surgery can have a long recovery. You need to wait till your Bariatric surgeon clears you. It is less to do with the anesthesia itself and more to do with how fast you recover from gastric sleeve. RegardsDr. J
hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based in your question its depend of the technique for rhinoplasty, can during around 3-4 hours.
Hello Rebecca,Thank you for your question. I would wait 6 weeks and then obtain medical clearance prior to surgery. In terms of the buccal fat excision, you will definitely lose weight in your face as a result of your gastric sleeve, and fat excision before losing all your weight may cause a hollowing in your face that you didn't expect. In terms of your rhinoplasty consultation, besure your surgeon addresses all your aesthetic goals and concerns specifically, and discusses the surgery details including the position and size of theincisions used (with actual photographs and not just digital animations), therisks and benefits of the procedure, recovery time, and post-operative course. Also, be sure to see plenty of before-and-after pictures in women who have asimilar nose appearance to yours, and preferably at different time frames (3weeks out, 3 months out, etc) to more accurately predict your own surgicaloutcome. After seeking out aboard-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery, Ithink the most important component of the consultation is to establish a goodconnection with your plastic surgeon. It’s the connection that allows youto clearly define your desired nose outcome goals, the first step of this wholeprocess. If you don’t feel you have a good connection with your plastic surgeonafter your consultation, he/she may not be the best surgeon for you.For more information onrhinoplasty, please refer to the link below.Good luck.Mark K Markarian, MD, MSPHHarvard-trained Board Certified AestheticPlastic Surgeon
Hello and thank you for your question. I recommend waiting at least two months in between your sleeve procedure and having rhinoplasty with buccal fat excision. You should also obtain clearance from your bariatric surgeon. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. From an anesthesia perspective, at least 6-8 weeks. But, let me make another point. The contours of your face will change after gastric sleeve surgery and your perspective in terms of expectations may alter as well so there may be good reasons to delay even longer.
Rebecca,A sleeve will not change the rhinoplasty or buccal fat pad excision. Therefore, you just need to wait until you are comfortable. Most people tolerate sleeve gastrectomies very well, but I would give yourself 2 months to better acclimate to your body and to be sure you are through with the gastrectomy before embarking on a rhinoplasty.good luck!
Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to ask your question. So you had your sleeve and presumably everything went well and now your are in the recovery period. If that is the case, you will need to give it at least 6-8 weeks. Although this is a relatively generic answer, it does give you the chance to recover from your sleeve procedure and build up your strength for the next operation. No one would advocate doing operations back to back to back, unless it is urgent or emergent. For this reason, I would discuss your plans with your surgeon carefully and then step-by-step follow through with your set plan. Safe, careful and steady is a great way to go through multiple operations. I know that you may be excited and want to get everything done as quickly as possible. However, in many cases, that is too much and not as safe. So be clear with your wishes and wants. Then, with the help of your surgeon, make plans over the next coming months and then, in sequence, go through your procedures.I hope that makes sense.
This is seems like a more serious, structural problem. It looks more like a collapse than unevenness of nostrils. This isnt something that can be caused by swelling. Also not likely caused by a tape. You should be able to contact your surgeon when you need to and have your issues addressed....
I would wait until I can see my surgeon. He is the only one who knows exactly what was done in your procedure.
Great question! The most durable repair would involve a cartilage graft, either in the form of a simple rim graft or a composite graft. These are frequently taken from the ear, with few if any side effects. Fillers could be used to improve mild alar retraction, but the effect would only las...
