I have scheduled plastic surgery in my stomach on Monday but 2day I got my periods. I have to go surgery or not
Answer: I'm due to have a tummy tuck while I'm having my period. Fortunately, menstruation does not affect procedures in the operating room. Simply, inform your surgeon so that he/she can prepare you for surgery properly. Good Luck!

Answer: TT and period It is no problem at all to have surgery while having your period. I have patients use a pad rather than a tampon because with the anesthetic and pain meds you might forget to change the tampon and can get a very bad infection. If you need a catheter during surgery do not worry. The OR staff is never bothered by a little blood.Best of luck with your surgery!
