Hyaluron pen - can it cause vascular occlusion if pressing a blood vessel?

The Hyaluron pen treatment is a device that can be used to apply filler, with the principle advantage of a uniform application avoiding bumps and irregularity. Vascular occlusion occurs if a filler is accidentally injected into a blood vessel, blocking the blood vessel. Although rare there is a theoretical risk that the hyaluron pen may increase the possibility vascular occlusion. There are technical measures that can minimise the possibility of vascular occlusion, make an appointment to see an expert in facial surgery to advise you on the best treatment options.

Theoretically you can get a vascular occlusion using this device. In reality it is probably less likely.I do believe people will see more outcomes with the Tyndall affect leaving a bluish hue on areas like the lips.Still fairly uncommon and certainly reversible with time.Time will tell.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
