Hi, I’m having breast augmentation soon, am a 5’3” 115 pounds woman. Going from a small A cup and getting 360cc’s. I dance Argentine Tango. It is not a jumpy vigorous dance, more smooth. However, the embrace is quite close and partners are usually chest to chest. Do you think it will be ok to dance in this way 4 weeks post op if the healing seems to be going well? Thank you!

Answer: Breast Augmentation Hi & thanks for your question! You should be fine to dance. It will depend on how you feel. Check with your surgeon for his/her guidelines and restrictions. Best wishes!

Answer: Can I dance the Argentine Tango 4 weeks post BA? Most patients should be perfectly safe resuming normal activity a month after breast augmentation. If the implants are under the muscle you may experience some discomfort and post activity soreness for a while. It is however, always recommended that you follow your surgeon's protocol and limit your activity until he or she releases you.

Answer: YES, absolutely, in my opinion; always best to check with your surgeon's protocol I advise my patients the following: LIFTING- For the first few days, you will need to depend on someone else to lift your baby or toddler. On the third day (if you had surgery on Monday, Day 3 is Thursday), you can pick up your child to transfer them to a crib, high chair or car seat. This rule is to ensure your comfort and minimize the risk of bleeding around the implants. You should not carry your child for extended periods until a couple of weeks after surgery. WORKING- More than 90 percent of my patients are back to work in office setting by the fifth day after surgery. Patients who use their arms a lot – including hairstylists, waitresses and nurses – are comfortably back to work by the end of the second week.
