I had my BA 1 yr ago. 440 mentor gummy bear implants. I’ve felt lopsided since I had surgery. I’m unhappy with the square shape of my left side at the bottom. I just seen my surgeon this past Friday who didn’t give me the time of day. He said what im looking at is the bottom of my implant and it’s due to thin skin. He didn’t even allow me to ask questions before rushing out of my room. When I lay down flat my left is significantly higher than my right side. I’d love some insight on my situation
Answer: Breast augmentation I'm sorry you are unhappy with your augmentation results. At one year post op these are your final results. It is possible to see and/or feel the implant through the skin if there is not adequate natural breast tissue coverage. This is why many choose silicone gel implants, as they feel and act more like natural breast tissue.

Answer: Breast asymmetry after breast augmentation There are multiple potential explanations for why breasts are asymmetric after breast augmentation. In general, I advice patients who are considering breast augmentation to anticipate existing breast asymmetries to persist after surgery and that, sometimes, new breast asymmetries become apparent after surgery. Here are some potential explanations:Most breasts are different at baseline. The differences that are easy to see are those resulting from: asymmetric breast foot print position (think foundation of the breast similar to the foundation of a house). Frequently the breasts start and stop at different vertical positions on the chest wall. For example, the breast crease is often higher on one side than the other. In addition, it is very common for the ribs and pec muscles to have different shapes from one side of the chest to the other. These differences are often disguised by the breasts and only become evident after breast augmentation. For many women who have a breast that sits higher (more projection) when they lay down, it is the ribs, muscles or both that are contributing factors. Breast tissue volume differences (one breast larger than the other) are extremely common. Silicone implants do not do a very good job of improving breast volume asymmetry. Saline implants are a little bit better because they are adjustable during surgery. Differences in nipple position are also very common and sometimes require lifting procedures to achieve balance. Differences in implant position including lateralization when laying down are also important considerations for asymmetry after breast augmentation. Overall, you have a beautiful result! It is true, you are asymmetric. You are not imagining your asymmetry. I am sorry your surgeon did not take the time to discuss your concerns with you. There are surgical options to improve your left breast shape. However, a detailed in person exam is necessary to determine the cause/causes and device a safe plan. Hope this helps.

Answer: BA results Dear Warmhearted254579, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Breasts In your one photo, you actually look nice. Gummy bear implants are much less forgiving than smooth round implants. If you are thin, you will feel the implants. Smooth round implants are more soft and less noticeable. These were probably chosen to avoid a lift. Your pocket could be reshaped to decrease the square look which is not too square in your one photo. I would go back and discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
