I recently just got rhinoplasty to remove my dorsal hump, I’m 9 days post surgery. My end desired look was for the hump to be gone entirely, however there is still a bump only slightly smaller then before. After the surgery the doctor informed me everything looked good on the table and he removed the bump. Once I got the cast taken off I was so disappointed to see a bump there. I understand the healing process can take up to months but as I touch the hump I can feel bone not sweeping..

Dear Realself user,
It is very normal to have swelling right after your rhinoplasty procedure.I personally do not reccoment taping anything on the nose after the surgery. Ask your doctor what he would reccoment for you so you can heal faster. I find it helpful to use a massage technique on...
Gently removing crusts is ok. If they are attached to sutures it may hurt and one should avoid pulling on sutures. Keep your nose moist with nasal lubricants and saline sprays. See your surgeon if crusts are difficult to remove for nasal cleaning.
This is likely a combination of ongoing swelling and cartilage memory. Your nose may not end up perfectly straight, but hopefully it is an improvement from before surgery. And hopefully you breathe better.
