When do people typically start seeing results when taking Singulair for capsular contracture?

Hi. So sorry you have had 4 surgeries. Unfortunately, with this track record, it is unlikely that Singulair will make a big difference. Talk to your surgeon about the options, but it may be less stressful, and less expensive (for the future) to call it quits. There are other things that you can do to make the results of implant removal less drastic, like breast lift or fat grafting. Talk to your surgeon about these options to get an in-person idea of what to expect. Best of luck!

Thank you for your question. Sorry to hear about your issues with capsular contracture. There are some non-operative modalities, (singulair, message, Aspen treatment, short course of steroids, etc.). We have folks in our office take singulair for 90 days straight. There are also operative modalities, (capsulotomy, capsulectomy, change of pocket, placement of ADM, removal). As you know, the definitive treatment as of this writing is surgical. Please continue to speak with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had so many occurrences of capsular contracture. Singulair, if helpful is best for the early indications of capsular contracture. If the capsule continues to worsen despite the Singulair it is doubtful it will be effective for you. Your surgeon is your expert to help guide you through this process.
