I have a weak chin, & my lips do not naturally close when my face is rested. It's as if my teeth are too large for my weak chin, & I must make a conscious effort to close my mouth. I often find myself eating with an open mouth, or my mouth agape during meetings. When I smile my outer jawline becomes like Jigsaw from Saw. My lips are also thin & my smile is uneven. I also get pronounced lines around the simple area when I smile. Please help!
Answer: Chin Augmentation and Lip Fillers There are several options but without seeing you in person there is no way to be sure which if any of these is an option. What you are describing is very common known as oral incompetence. Basically your jaw height is taller than the soft tissue of your lower chin and lip. Hence you can’t close your lips in neutral. What is necessary is a jaw shortening surgery via oral surgery. That being said, a chin implant can give the illusion of a stronger jaw line by manipulating the chin and hence recruiting soft tissue and improving this deformity. I am a big fan of the chin implant as it is quick, easy and can lead to very natural results if done correctly. There are many different chin implant shapes and sizes that could be specifically sized for you, in ways that will leave you with a very natural looking chin. As for thin lips, Fillers are a great way to even and enhance your lips giving you a very natural yet rejuvenating appearance. Prospective patients gain the benefits of enhancing lips without committing to a permanent procedure. Hope this has helped.

Answer: Chin and Lip Augmentation With a weak chin and lip incompetence the best chin augmentation approach is a sliding genioplasty. As the bone comes forward it can help drive the lower lip upward as well as eliminate a mentalis muscle strain. Thin lips are managed by a variety of strategies but none of them are perfect. If you are having surgery you may try fat injections since this is the best environment to do so.

Answer: What's the best course to make my weak chin stronger, my wide jaw narrower, my lips close naturally, and my lips fuller? Hi, these are all great questions that I'll address individually. Based upon the attached photos:Your chin, as you mentioned is quite weak. This can be augmented using a chin implant providing harmony and balance to the entire lower face. I have performed this procedure for well over 26 years and do not recommend an intra-oral approach which has multiple added side effects over an incision placed under the chin.Your lips are a bit thin and can be augmented using a dermal filler (I prefer Juvederm or restylane) or a lip implant for a more permenent augmentation. I would try that first before having any alteration to the degree of "gummy smile".Your jaw line has a signifigant degree of "flare" which is a relative masculine trait providing angularity to the face. The most effective way for a woman to couter that affect is to make the anterior (front portion) of the cheeks more full, round and naturally attractive. This creates a heart-shaped face that's feminine, youthful and attractive. Cheek Augmentation can be performed using a dermal filler (I prefer Perlane) or with cheek implants for a permanent augmentation. You may wish to read my book on factors contributing to face and body beauty for a more detail explanation. Hope this helps.
