68 year old female to get BA. Have had breast lift and breast reduction surgery 6 months ago. It will add to cost and I don't see any doctors on RealSelf requiring their patients to stay overnight.

Answer: Outpatient surgery All of the breast augmentations performed at our fully certified surgery center are outpatient. The only thing that might be at issue is your health. Ask the doctor specifically why an overnight stay is required in your case.

Answer: Hospital stay after breast augmentation Patients typically do not need an overnight hospital stay after a breast augmentation, they go home within a few hours after the procedure. There would not be a need for the hospital stay unless monitoring for another health problem were indicated after anesthesia, in which case the advisability of having a completely elective cosmetic procedure may be questionable at best. Many times an experienced overnight surgical nurse can be retained for the 24 hours after surgery if observation is desired by the patient/surgeon/PMD. This is a question to address with both your surgeon and your primary medical doctor. Best wishes!
